I'm a 73 year-old American (1/2 Portuguese) who remembers watching the original movie over and over and over again. It was my husband's favorite. We lived in San Diego where the movie was filmed and it was interesting to identify the outside scenes. But for me, MUSIC always makes the most powerful memories. And this cover, my friend, brought some very good memories of family.
You were a treasure to Brazil for a little while but now you are an epic treasure to the world!

From the covers of "Danger Zone" I've watched, this is the best sounding to my ears. I like the galloping power metal style, the instrumental little twiddles here and there but most of all I really liked your approach to the vocals. To contrast it a bit to some others, you've done the voice layering in a way that sounds great. That is, choose one primary voice and have the rest of the vocal tracks in the background instead of having one guy sing in the video, but the audio hurling 4+ voices at the same level your way. This causes a huge dissonance in the brain.
One small thing I'd like to suggest, but this may be just my preference: Don't be afraid to make your voice heard a bit more in the mix. In the beginning, where you only sing with the instruments fairly low, it's fine. The refrain is also well balanced. But when you sing not very high with the instruments blasting around you [1:13] it's hard to hear you properly and I think it's a shame.
Take this as an opinion of one guy on the internet with his particular set of speakers, you know...

This song in the original form was a jam, but this just amps it up. I love it!
I'm not actually sure that Top Gun needed a sequel, but this is a wonderful cover of a brilliant song, so even if the new film is bad, at least it inspired this.
Top Gun always needs a sequel, maybe not storyline wise, but if you will remember TG was a popcorn film and popcorn films are always good.
