Can you share why you wouldn’t go with a Yammy 5200 or Matzy 8805 pre pro from established brands? Why do this one...better sound quality? What else good sirs? Educate us :)
Those are certainly both good units and we are massive fans of Yamaha. Audio Control has a quality control division unlike anything I've ever seen. These units are custom built to order the company is very passionate about their brand. There are also using extremely high-quality components like those Saber DACs. The same as the Yamaha 5200. Dirac Live is always evolving and definitely has a thumbs up from us. You can't really go wrong with any of the units but they are definitely holding their own.
Because the Yamaha and Marantz can only process 13 channels, and the biggest difference is Dirac live. I’ve owned and used them all, the Audiocontrol is on a completely different level sound wise.

What speakers are you using? because the Audio Control AMP doesn't pair well with the KEF line of speakers.
We typically pair them with Klipsch or Bowers and Wilkins
