That climb is no joke. We'll done! It makes me happy to see all you ladies having fun on your bikes in the woods together
These are my favorite kinds of rides. Casual, well planned, great friends and rewards with camping, food, exploring, wonderful memories. Long, short, well it's all good. Usually the feeling is a little melancoly at the end. Good times should last forever, and they do. I'd love to see more of this. Comfortable, capable bikes and gear variety. Thanks to all of you!
Nice videography, beautiful country explored. Thanks for showing what many can not experience, but would like to.
I like what you said " Don' wait for it to be perfect. Just do something." Also I like your reflective time at the end of the day and the end of the trip.
This is exactly what I have in mind for my first overnighter...the pace, the distance etc. Perfect! Thanks for Sharing Tess!
"just on a jeep road"....well done on the gravel bike Ashleigh. I'd use one also (because that's all the dirt worthy I currently have), and realize it totally can be done, which is awesome. It looks like something vastly more supple would be more enjoyable on that IMHO pretty gnarly looking road.
Tess, I really truly liked the feel of this video. I loved the music, it felt very documentary-like and had a certain professional quality to it. Something I might expect to see on The Discovery Channel or some other educational channel. Well done. I enjoyed this very much. Also, now I think I need to go bike packing.
Stay upright and keep the rubber side down!
Very enjoyable video
Yay!! This inspires me to go on bikepacking. 😍
Ugh I just love the editing vibe of this video. Well done! You've always had that gift. Makes me excited to bike pack again. I've got that fever bad. And it's you and Steve's fault 🤓
@@dustybettymtb lol for sure, let's shoot for less type 3 fun next time 😂
Wow!! This video was awesome!!! Reminds me of taking my wife and kids (adults) out camping. The views you show us are sooooo beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing your trip with us all. You brought a big smile to my face and unlocked some wonderful memories I had forgotten. Best Regards, Cesar.
Like the “ best part of day “ Everybody should focus on the best part of their day. Helps you be grateful
Wish I had see this before I had to drive down Schnebly hill!! My boys wanted to ride hangover! They didn’t get to because they had to spot me with our rental truck that had 4x4 but not he lift kit on it! We will do it another time!! Plus we did not find the trail head!! Newbies!
That's really cool that you have friends that like to bike and are willing to try stuff like this out. And to be able to do it with scenery like that is the cherry on top. :-)
Just such a well put together journal of this ride. The view at 4:29 took my breath away. Greetings from the UK!
Awesome trip with awesome friends on awesome bikes in awesome weather. That's awesome 😄
That was fun!!
Gravel bike for the win!!
Great video , thanks .
What an awesome overnighter! I need to find time for a trip ASAP!
9:50 Nooooo! I just ordered some Oveja Negra a few days before watching this....haha. Well, just a frame bag, because all the other stuff was out of stock, because they're so dang good, and their vids are hilarious. So yeah, actually I guess I will still be able to use your code once stuff gets restocked. MUST HAVE CHUCKBUCKET!!!! :)
Thats gravel bike though. Awesome!!! You were right on your reply to my comment on your last video. You really can take any bike, bike parking. That landscape books amazing. Thinking of taking my girlfriend on a bike packing trip soon. :) We both have E-bikes though :/
Rubbing alcohol works great to remove sap. I usually have a few individual wrapped alcohol wipes in my small first aid kit.
great trip!
Bikepacking in Sedona would be so sick! I've ridden there before too and it is a majestic place
Shout out to Emma riding the Roscoe. Me too! I love it so far but I haven't done much on it yet.
Apparently, I'm going to have to isolate at least until the end of July. I'm planning to go bikepacking in Scotland next summer with some friends. In the meantime, I'm brushing up my mechanic skills, riding on the turbo and saving for a hardtail and some bikepacking kit. The first bit is arriving tomorrow, a Topeak DP Mount which allows the use of a large saddle bag and a dropper post.
Dusty, Dusty, Dusty, I loved it, I'm in the UK and wanna go bikepacking in Sedona with my brothers 👍😎
It looks like you ladies had an epic time!
Great vid, Tess! Sedona rocks! Pink Jeep tours are annoying!
Nice time!! Curious of what the specs were on the drop bar bike. Pretty chunky terrain in some places!
Great video! I’m planning my first bikepacking trip in a few weeks. Quick question, does the Oveja Negra Front End Loader perform just as well when only using it with a stuff sack and not with the Lunchbox Bag as well?
Awesome!!
Brilliant video!
Hi,
thank you for sharing this adventure. I just came back from a short one-night trip with a friend, too. We had a blast! And it showed me that you don’t have to dream about big trips that don’t come true because of not having enough time. Just go out for that one night and enjoy.
Unfortunately, the link to the gear list ends up at the Ibis website. I would like to know what kind of bug net you are using and where to get it. Your help is kindly appreciated.
Take care!
Hey dusty betty i love you channel and your vids. One question. What is your favorite bike you have right now😀
What a rad trip! Is it dispersed camping up there??
Its really nice Betty I love this video. Planning to go one like that in Sri Lanka
Any reason why you didn't run clipless pedals on this trip? Seems like the trails would have been a good opportunity to get some acclimation time with them.
Awesome ! what is the name of the trail head and do you need a permit ?
Loved it wish I had girlfriends to do that with so cool. Also….. what is the fabulous orange backpack
The views are so beautiful I really want to go back to Sedona, I've been planning a 2 day road ride but i just don't feel ready yet plus I'm having a bike problem as well
Hi! A bit off topic here but what tires do you run in this terrain? Asking because my local trails in SoCal are similar... loose rock (of various sizes )over dry hard pack. Thanks for your time😎🙌
Have your friend try a mummy style sleeping pad as it fits some much better in a hammock. Another great tip is hand sanitizer will remove sap from your sticky seat.
@@dustybettymtb I wonder if you could trim it down. Only good if the hammock is the only thing you will use it for. I got an REI AirRail mummy pad and it sits so nice in a hammock and the rails keep you centered. They are around $100 though. I don't fill it all the way with air and it cradles you all night.
@@dustybettymtb That thing about "a work in progress" is really part of the fun of figuring out what word best for you. Getting out there with whatever you have is the main objective.
I wanted to do the South Downs Way in the UK this summer but I don't think it will happen now. 160km/4000m ish of climbing it's a good test of mind and body. I mentioned it to a friend and he wants to do it so at least I've found someone else willing to come with me now! Nice video, looking forward to the next ones! Also, what's up with all the spam comments on everyone's videos lately!?
Great video, looks amazing there. =)
Question, what grips are you running there Betty?
@@dustybettymtb Awesome, thanks Betty. =)
How was the DV9 for bikepacking? Being on the bike all day, did you find the ride harsh at all?
Dusty Betty Thanks!
How do you like the 2゚ slack And on your like being clipless
from Transilvania Klaunsenburg
love
Love it, n
How do you protect your face from the harsh sun out there?
@@dustybettymtb Are you able to prevent a sunburn on your face? Which sunscreen?
@@dustybettymtb That's impressive!
Great video, thanks for making great content that I can show my young boys (1&3 years), unfortunately I end up showing them male oriented contents that's what's mostly available.
Hope i can join
review cooperation?
Cool trip.
Doubt that you just talked women's biking issues.
Like maybe you broke out the flask and talked about boys and their wonderous ways, hmmm?
