  • This is all the information I learned taking a look at the flamethrower, flame arrows, and fire wyverns attacks and the status effect they apply called Enflamed.

    Some stuff that's not in the video that's relevant:
    - If your hit your own tribemate/tame with a flame arrow or flamethrower they will take full damage, but if you flame them with a fire wyvern, they will take direct damage and the enflamed status effect will proc, but it will do no damage.
    - Oil jars that you throw down and light on fire seem to work the same as a flamethrower or flame arrow when it comes to the enflamed status effect. Direct damage is 20.
    - You can hit players riding tames with flamethrowers and fire wyvern breath. And id assume flame arrows but I didn't test.
    - You can unearth buried tames easily with flamethrowers and fire wyvern breath.

    Chugging a 40 is one of the only ways to reduce the effect of flames.... Man, can relate to that one.

    Thanks for this information. I finally tames my first ever phoenix a few days ago and really had no idea how the fire damage was working towards taming it. I just threw oil pots and used a flamethrower on in a bunch. It was a huge struggle and took me like 7 hours because the heatwaves were kinda buggy. I never did figure out if it was better to fully lay the trigger down with the flamethrower or if it stacked with the oil pots. I wonder how the Phoenix's attacks work with all this. Its blaze attack seems kinda bugged and doesnt count as a kill for the phoenix when getting xp i noticed, but the flyby and bite attack do.

    What about insects, most importantly the rhynio ? Do insects take more damage from flames or the same ? Does the rhynio resin armor effect the resistance?

    • @Doth_
      @Doth_  Před měsícem

      there is no increase in damage to bugs from fire. My friend talked about this and i tested it. The resin armor does provide resistance

    Should the Beer be applied after your hit with fire or before??

    • @Doth_
      @Doth_  Před 2 měsíci

      Ideally you would want to before but you can only use a beer every so often so you might wanna wait till you actually get hit so you dont waste it.
