When we see a video of wrestling vs muay thai, a wrestler actually uses a boxing stance (better footwork and faster movement), and they even strike. No wrestler in a real fight is going to be bent over at the waste, or need to be to get a pure striker down. To think that is just inexperienced. It’s hard to find anything like that no, almost any one crosstrains to some extent.

People seem to forget Sagat Beat Ryu in a fair one vs one but Ryu tapped into the Satsui No Hadou when injured so that’s the only reason He beat Sagat . Sagat is the real best in the world
I played and beat the very first Street fighter. I did not have that kind of luck with subsequent versions. The machine I played on had two oversized buttons. One for punching and one for kicking.
In the early games I thought Sagat was actually very similar to Ryu , and Ken. With many people believing that Sagat got his scar from one of the two in that rivalry outside of the tournament.
