I took Mandarin almost 50 yrs ago @ the Defense Language Institute, and even though I had picked up Vietnamese and German, this was my first formal language training. My primary instructor, a Dr. Wu, used to pull his hair out with my pronunciations. I'm originally from Appalachia and everything I said had a "country" sound to it. Emphasizing the tones were the hardest part for me. He warned me that I would someday call someone's mother a horse. (Ma)

I am in china. I faced alot of problems due to communication. But now I feel more and more comfortable after joining your videos session. Thank you so much. You are such a great teacher. Your way of teaching Chinese is very easy to understand. Because you repeat so many times and the repetition is very slowly and clear. That makes you different from all teachers. Love your teachings. Thanks.
