@@filmandfirearms And obviously the most logical base for the group who's ideology centers around the extermination of "impure" humans is... a broken down building in an area that's constantly irradiated, basically guaranteeing the mutation of anybody inhabiting it.
Not a bad plan, really. In the Sonic comics, apparently one villain eventually discovered that Sonic had in-universe plot armor, so it was basically impossible to beat him. The solution? Literally just wait till he dies of age, since the villain was ageless, and Sonic wasn't.
In the Enclave's case? Just waiting out the current protag is probably the smartest thing they'd ever do.

So... I'd just like to point out that in fallout 1 the Brotherhood is all like "random settlements getting wiped by mutants? LOL not my problem", until you pointed out it WAS their problem and then they fought the mutants. Not to protect the wastes, but to protect themselves.
Also, when you showed up they turned around and said "oh its some idiot wastelander send him to LITERAL GROUND ZERO OF A NUKE BLAST SO RADIOACTIVE IT FRIES PEOPLE IN MINUTES" just to get rid of you. Like, they knew they were sending you to your death, but were counting on it cause you were a stupid wastelander. When you came back alive, they decided to let you in but not to give you power armor, you got a busted old set that they didn't want from the mechanic.
Brotherhood going enclave is very much something they'd do, fallout 4 brotherhood isn't out of character. Fallout 3 was.
3 also points out how unpopular Lyons was for wanting to help the people of the wasteland, to the point there was a massive secession of members into the Outcasts and people in 4 actively shit on his memory.
I feel like whoever thought up that thought experiment about entropy doesnt know chickens well enough to have made it. Chickens are low maintenance and with the listed amount of grain you could easily feed yourself and the chickens, and chickens will lay eggs daily almost without fail. So for the "correct" answer to be to kill the chickens seems very shortsighted
I mean, it is correct purely from the calories. The calories you get from pure grain and eating the chickens is more than the calories from feeding the chickens and eating the eggs. Chickens burn calories as they live, so some of the calories are lost to keep the chicken alive.
@@businessburd2071 maybe I'm wrong but given the fact the chickens also eat bugs means you can feed them pests and other undesirable things to help offset the lose in calories? I mean admittedly animal husbandry can be very taxing but there's a reason we transitioned from hunters to agricultural farmers right?
also I wrote this comment before the bit in the video it came out so i didn't realize in this thought experiment there's no grass or bugs to feed the hens in this scenario.
You feed the chickens, because you're trapped in a frozen cabin and need some other living creature to humanise and talk to so you don't go crazy by the time you can get out. Chickens make great pets :)

me too! i played that game waay too much back in the day, so when i was looking away and heard that sound i almost hurt myself looking over so quickly.
The reason people die so easily from 5.56 is because the service rifle mod Is extremely op. It is not balanced in the slightest and can do upwards of 200 damage per shot Making it more powerful than even late game vanilla weapons.

I feel like some mods mess up how durable the power armor is supposed to be. Enemies in power armor have hundreds of points in damage resistance yet they seem to die just as fast as unarmored targets from the same weapon
Damn Fallout 4 really got put on the back burner after Christmas
They had mentioned back in their podcast that their fallout 4 save file was incredibly unstable, it's probable that the issues have persisted

Yo Zach, my man. The other day I went down to my local pawn shop to buy my first hand gun, and I picked up a Tanfoglio TA-90 for $295. I went in wanting to get a 1911, but they only had a rock island armory .45, and another 1911 in .22. But the Tanfoglio caught my eye, and the guy behind the counter said it was reliable. I pretty much just wanna know your thoughts on the gun

Am i crazy or can you get the notification of this mission from when the enclave tries to attack cambridge police station after you've cleared it and did the missions? I had enclave attack cambridge police for BoS. I swear that happened to me.
Anyway I'm surprised that the lockdown in the headquarters kept codworth out of the station. I made sure to just run to every corner and randomly and then all of a sudden hancock was on my same level so i could recover the 6+ body armors from inside of the building. The Biot was trying to get him to jump off the roof with me after i downed the enclave vertiberd. Anyway i ran passes a little hill and he popped up so i could go get my unlimited armor from the poor souls aboard the vertiberd.

They killed a death, strike rad scorpion that’s the toughest enemy in the game by a long shot and they just done it down while it hit them. They are a little overpowered honestly I wish they could nerve how much damage they do or increase the health of all the enemies because I like the episodes when they’re actually challenged to play the game same with the new Vegas and Skyrim mods

OG colorfulabyss is correct…to an extent. It would not be possible for Zach and Mike’s characters in universe be able to join the Enclave, but the normal, from Vault 111, character might have a chance

Good thing you get The Enclave items before you put in America Rising or American Rising 2 so you can have the items not have to buy them
A lot of military bases were destroyed by the nuclear fallout in the glowing sea makes perfect sense for The Enclave would have a base hidden there with really cool mods with a cabin that has an underneath Enclave base but it was filled of Institute Fallout Sith

You know, I've heard there is a mod called America Rising 2 - Legacy of the Enclave, that lets you be a part of the Enclave.
Sounds like an absolute disservice to the modding community and the game as a whole. Like the New Vegas mods that make you join the Legion and try to make them look cool and sound intelligent.

It's funny how the Enclave's so outmatched due to the ever-increasing power levels of Bethesda games that a once threatening high-tech society gets curbstomped every time they show up. Also, they could've added new creatures to this game with the update. Instead they gave us some janky quests and nothing especially new.
They really should have just recycled the audio from the 3 Enclave soldiers. It's both efficiently lazy, and sounds better than whatever they're currently using.
The America Rising mod did a better job giving the enclave nive uniforms than the official Bethesda content. Of course.

The Outcasts and Remnants mod did such a better job of handling the Enclave. The more I see of what they put into the game and how awful the update has been for so many people, the more I feel like it was a last-minute botch job to get something out the door and drive more people to get the game and buy the crap off the creation club. Seriously, the quest line could have been so much better, Here's an example:
"Enclave survivors from DC have instructed their remaining footsoldiers to invade the commonwealth after hearing tales of the Institute and their technology. They are especially interested in capturing the technology required to manufacture Gen 3 synths. They intend to use this to mass-manufacture a full fighting force which they will use to conquer America and bring it under Enclave rule. They have brought out the big guns, and armor. They are desperate to get their hands on this promising tech and will spare no expense nor the lives of their remaining soldiers to get their hands on what they want."
Throw in a small detachment of Brotherhood from DC who split away from Maxson, the last members of the Lyon's Pride who are hunting the Enclave remnants. They will feed you quests, intel and salvaged Enclave tech. Boom, right there I laid out the basic foundation of a DLC sized content pack with more depth and actual worth than whatever dogwater we got out of this "update".
Fvck you, Bethesda. Hire me instead of whatever gaggle of chucklefvcks you have in your writing department.

I did this mission and got stuck cause the guy with the key was behind the elevator. Now I can’t fast travel out cause there is an enemy around. I can’t load old saves neither. 🥲
