  • Need a suitcase for your little ones while traveling? This was an absolute lifesaver! I was able to pull my 4-year-old around the airport with no problems and she was able to sleep comfortable on each flight, thanks to the bedbox!

    I just bought one secondhand because I'm travelling soon from Santiago to Toronto with my 2.5old (overnight), and also because I know we'll travel long-haul in the future with her. We live in Chile so basically to go anywhere you have to take a pretty long flight! I second guessed it because of how expensive it is - even secondhand - but this video has convinced me it was a good buy lol. Thanks!

    Don’t worry about any negative comments.
    That’s more a reflection of someone’s dissatisfaction with their own life, that they feel the need to bring others down. We should feel sorry for people like that really 😂

    How comfortable is this bed compared with the plane pal type inflatable footrest? We have a two night flights coming up and want to ensure this is cushioned enough. Many thanks for your review!

    • @KylieLong
      @KylieLong  Před rokem

      I've never used an inflatable foot rest before so I can't compare the two. The jetkids bed part is pretty thin, maaaaybe 1/2" but the seat itself is cushiony enough and it's just her feet and partial legs resting on the suitcase so it never bothered my daughter. She was just happy to be able to lay out and curl up. She was always comfy with no complaints but we also only had about 2 hour flights. I'm sure whichever you choose will be great! I hope I could help a little. Enjoy your trip!

    • @KylieLong
      @KylieLong  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, I was able to. Each airline is different though so with some, you may have to put it in overhead storage for take off and landing. Not much of an issue if you don't mind getting up to grab it once you're able.

      How big? I’m sure she will be fine. I can sit on it and I’m 115. It’s just not as easy to scoot obviously since I have long legs. A Scooter suitcase might be more for you if she is taller and if you don’t want the bed part

    Will it be suitable for front seats leg space? will the suitcase slide away?

    • @KylieLong
      @KylieLong  Před 2 lety

      Yes, the planes we were on, it slid right under the seat in front of us so we still had leg room. (I think thats what you were asking). Also, if it doesnt fit, you can always put it in a bin above and get it out to set up, after the seatbelt light comes off. I never had any issues with it sliding away.

    I can’t figure out how to hook the backpack on the suitcase

    • @KylieLong
      @KylieLong  Před 2 lety

      There should be a tether with a hook attached, inside the backpack. Pull that out and it will attach to the loop on the back of the suitcase (opposite side of there you're pulling from). This should work as long as you have both the hook straps, on the one side to pull. I really hope this helps!! Let me know if you have any questions

    I like the idea of making sleep as comfortable as you can for a child on the flight. But I have seen pictures of this bed in use where the child has the airplane seatbelt under their armpits and I don't like it. This is not where the seatbelt is supposed to go. The seatbelt injury would be different with the seatbelt on a different location and that's not a good thing here. I understand that everybody should be restrained when the seatbelt lights are on. You probably want to just have them on all the time because of surprise turbulence. And I even understand that you want the child to have the best quality sleep possible, preferably uninterrupted. But maybe if you care that much about their sleep quality than let them sleep in a real bed. Consider not to take the night flight with your kid...

    • @KylieLong
      @KylieLong  Před rokem +5

      We personally had no issues with seatbelt placement, she had it on throughout the entire flight. Plus thankfully no turbulence to worry about. Even had there been turbulence, I would have resituated her to a seated position if need be. We took early morning flights and flew throughout the day, not night flights. I care both about comfort and safety for my little and think that the suitcase provided both. You have all valid points, and I do take them under consideration. However, not everyone has the choice to not take night flights or their child just gets sleepy on flights in general. Personally, we love the suitcase and I do recommend it to those who are comfortable with their child having it as well. The fact that I can pull her around on the suitcase through the airport is what really makes the suitcase worth it to me though. You don’t have to get the bed part of the suitcase if not needed. I love it :)
      Thank you for sharing your views on it :)
