    That is one, no nonsense guy. You can tell, he genuinely cares about teaching players to be better people and players.

    Only man to feed 3 separate 50 goal scorers.
    Peter Bondra (who was and is criminally underrated)
    Cam Neely
    And Brett Hull

    One of the most underrated playmakers of all time

    Was at Oates’ first bruins game the day he was traded to Boston. Huge fan ever since. He had legendary vision, saw the game as well as anyone. Neely owes a lot of goals to Oates’ ability to find him.

      Jim Marshall they asked Oates how he got to be such a good back hand passer. He said I had Brett hull on my off hand side, I learned real quick how to get him the puck. lol

    Adam O, still rocking the 652 CCM Tacks from the early 1990's. Even I had to upgrade in the 2020s.

    Very underrated playmaker, he boosted the numbers of Brett Hull and Cam Neely.

      He is in the Hall of Fame and considered top 3 passers of all time. Not underrated at all ... Teams did not worry as much about Hull as they worried about keeping the puck away from Oates who got him the puck.He just played away from the big city lights and not in Canada. I'm sure Blues/Bruins fans remember him as that.

      @@neilrichardson2749 I remember always wearing #12 because I was such an Adam Oates fan from watching him setup Brett Hull a bazillion times and I don’t think that Hull reaches the same heights without a generational playmaker like Oates on his line.

    True. A person can have skill(s) but still be relatively poor at reading the game.

    • @Stepherss1
      @Stepherss1 Před 3 lety +1

      @@Bodycomp101 just a stick handling drill/technique to work on. You have to keep your stick down in position or the ring will pop off. I don't see why it wouldn't work on a roller rink, it might be a little harder to push since it's rubber. You could just try a plastic ring though

    Adam Oates as a player had a very high IQ, he knew how to jump from contender to contender to contender, he was a glorified journeyman
