  • For a growing number of people, institutional Christianity is just about as exciting as sliced white bread. They sense that its once invigorating flame has been tamped down by two millennia of ice-bound doctrine, rules, and bureaucracy. In his magnificent essay "Walking," the American Transcendentalist Henry David Thoreau, although no Christian himself, offers sage counsel on how to rekindle the flame. We need, he says, to saunter adventurously toward the untameable wildness of God.

Thank you so much Fr. Kerry! This is so deep and inspiring; yet presented in such an easy-digestible way! My heart is uplifted, warming up to go a bit wilder to the attractive Truth and Love! Blessings! ❤
