Hi! I was wondering if you could do like a baking supply tour, to help other bakers and followers what your closes and stuff look like. Thanks for being awesome!
Maybe next time u need thicker frosting u can freeze it a little so that u don't have to add extra sugar to the frosting. That worked for me in the past, but it was when I was using a star tip, but it might work for those tips too.
If you don't want the frosting so sweet but need it that consistancy, just add a little bit of salt to it to cut the sweetness. That always works for me when I need to make thick frosting.
Rachel: i know everyone hates when i use the word moist, but idk what else to call it A few videos ago: I know u guys love it when i use the word moist 😹😹😹😹
I love the Russian piping tips, I have 4 sets. I got 2 different sets like the ones featured in this video along with the ball tips and the ribbon tips. Most of the tips you do need very thick frosting but some will work with Swiss meringue buttercream, they take some practice to figure out but once you do they are a very easy way to make flowers. Some of the tips are good for taller flowers while others can only make very short flowers like the ones in the video. Also I have found the flowers look a lot better if you use two colors of frosting one color for the outside one for the middle. If you do have these tips experiment with them, you can gets lots of different effects by twisting the piping bag as you squeeze or piping at different angles.
I have a set of Russian piping tips, and my favorite is the one resembling a cherry blossom. I found that if you use butter straight from the fridge(not softened) and whip it in an electric mixer, it does help with the stiff consistency since its not room temp.
Yesss this is my favourite recipe tooo. I use the same recipe to make red velvet except some adjustments to the amount of cocoa and some red colouring. It's heavenlyyyy.
Your smile is sooooooo contagious,it's like your smile never dies out!!😍😍😍😋😋😉😉this is by far the best!!your like always smiling that's what puts your channel over the top!!luv you 🌸🌸
I watch a video when they used 2 colours in the piping bag, the petal color along the sides of the bag and yellow in the center, the flower ended up more realistic looking. I so thinking about buying those, looks so pretty.
This turned out so cute, I SO agree.....the frosting had to be super thick to achieve the flowers. My husband bought me the entire set of 30 and in playing with them about a year ago it took me about 5 hrs of wanting to pull my hair out and crying wondering what I was doing wrong to figure out the frosting was the issue. Now they are my only go-to lol. 😍✔💯
If you don't want it too sweet, add one scoop powdered sugar, one scoop cornstarch. It worked for me. It stiffens it up without making it overwhelmingly sweet.
Hi Rachel I've been a fan for more than 5 years I love your kawaii baking and love how much I have seen you grown you probably won't see this but HI ILY ❤️
Hi Rachel! I have Russian piping tips too! I used a cream cheese frosting instead, and found getting around the sweetness level and shape holding ability for cream cheese to be more forgiving with this type of piping. Hope this helps!
I tried the piping tips out before but gave up on my lumpy flower-ish shapes, because I didn't know my frosting wasn't thick enough XD Thanks for the advice!!!
I also have a russian tip and it didn't look good either with normal butter cream consistensy. I added more powdered sugar to but put in some salt to avoid making the icing taste too sweet :) . The icing was still thick even with the addition of the salt.

That's a great suggestion! I like that! 😄 Will have to give that a try 😊
Fe La I’ve thought these were made for whipped cream or Swiss meringue type buttercream. In Russia they don’t use American style buttercream.

I watch a video when they used 2 colours in the piping bag, the petal color along the sides of the bag and yellow in the center, the flower ended up more realistic looking. I so thinking about buying those, looks so pretty.

I seriously love this channel. I've made the pink hot chocolate it was soo good. Love ya Rachel!
I am loving your intros 😍
I love slightly damp cakes. They are WAY better than not wet at all cakes.
If you don't want it too sweet, add one scoop powdered sugar, one scoop cornstarch. It worked for me. It stiffens it up without making it overwhelmingly sweet.
This is so pretty! I would love to make a rainbow of flowers for a cake.
I never really use Russian piping tips but this looks awesome 😄

If you want your frosting to be less sweet you can always use some salt, or make a sturdier frosting with ganache.
I love the word moist.
YAY
I tried the piping tips out before but gave up on my lumpy flower-ish shapes, because I didn't know my frosting wasn't thick enough XD Thanks for the advice!!!
Now that's cake
Another adorable cake as always😊..please make Japanese fluffy cake too..
When I use these tips I make my buttercream with less milk and add shortening, that make it thicker.
Love you Rachel 😘😘
