The growl from the engine alone sounds awesome, just like a Chrysler siren. Did they ever put those Wisconsin V4 engines on any larger mowers or tractors? It would be fun to cut the grass with one of those growling away.
They were used in a lot of stationary farm equipment, like hay bailers, etc. It would be possible and probably easy to put one on a tractor and cut grass.

There's no point to have a muffler on the engine's exhaust. Add a horn resonator for extra noise!
yeah, except for the engine needs a certain amount of back pressure to run properly.
