- This is the first moments of the battle for Kharkiv as Russian launched a surprise attack. Video shows Ukrainian border guards inside their position when Putin’s men advance. They hear the Russians moving and call out to find who’s there, before opening fire. A tense gun battle follows, with the Ukrainians ultimately forced to fall back. More footage shows special forces soldiers being heavily shelled near the border. Kyiv rushed reinforcements to the area to stop the Russian advancing. Yet more video shows the Russian Legion was thrown into the fighting. Turncoat Russian soldiers used a BTR to drive back their own countrymen. FPV drone footage from the 42nd Brigade shows Russian vehicles being blown up. Ukraine is trying to hold back the surprise advance on Kharkiv, its second-biggest city. Russia is thought to have massed tens of thousands of troops in the area. They don’t have enough force to take the city, but can put it under pressure. They are heavy and the border guards are just trip wire to alert others that the enemy is coming. They were never meant to stop them at those pilboxes. Since the defensive line is across the river. Or it could be that they lack equipment such as light machine guns and are short on ammo.

Both can in theory still add millions more. By force if they have too. It's just a matter of how far they want to go wit this and how the war economy is going as well is the foreign aid. Ukraine relies heavely on the west and Russia increasingly more on China.

Tbf they seem to be completely covered by morning "fog" of some kind which blocks vision of enemy, while they're half-surrounded by X amount of troops, not much anyone here could do, they don't even seem to have a MG set up on time so panic is what anyone would have

This is a typical firefight during war which all sides tactically use e.g. cover fire, suppressing fire, overwatch, etc.... It is why when they say they are sending certain amounts of ammo it sounds like a lot, but really it is like a few days or 1 week worth of ammo at best.
You have no idea how close quarters battle works bud. It's suppressing fire to keep down Russian infantry advances
I've seen Russian go pro footage on offensive maneuvers and they use the same standard. This has been emulated in WW1, WW2, Vietnam war, Afghan war, Gulf War and Cartel strongholds under siege in mexico. The international Foreign legion in Ukraine is expected to grow.

if you look at statistic how much NATO send hand AT weapons vs how much Russia have tanks this was going like 8 to 1 and Russia shouldnt have any vehicles left by now . But i see many videos of Ukrainians waste them on truck , soldiers or just shoot in a direction of a enemy without aiming .
