This is THE MOST HELPFUL STUDY GUIDE VIDEO i have watched, thank youuuuu
Hey Sarah! Thank you so much for this video! My prelims are next week and I missed 3-4 days of preparation as I was sick. I had a lot to study for and this video literally saved my life. Thanks a lot❤
I just want to say thank you for making these videos as I took my exams last year and you really helped me not to give up.❤❤ ❤

thank you! im honestly terrible at chemistry and even though there's a while until the exam, im super nervous since ive never gotten higher than a c in chemistry before
Thank you so much! I've watched your history and english literature videos too :)) I'm literally gonna follow all your tips! Tbh im very anxious for gcses and I feel kinda unprepared, but I'm hoping for grade 9s, especially in sciences 🤞🏼

Good resources used in this video
Ty i have my chem mock in about 10 days and although they’re not a big deal chem is easily my worst subject , I’ve just never understood it fully but I’m trying to learn the basics in that time 😩
hey Sarah! I was just wondering if you printed the whole specification altogether or according to your tests and syllabus ? BTW this helped me
Excellent presentation
Hey Sarah. Great video! What would you suggest for practicing past papers but they contain information that I don't need to learn and it is hard to figure out exactly if that question adheres to a topic from my advance info..Any tips would be stellar.
can you make a writing on ipad asmr video? i reallly love those
What is your take on watching past paper walkthroughs? Do you think they're advisable to use for going through past papers? Especially if you do not have a lot of time to go through the papers by yourself.
Hi! I personally think that you'll get the most out of it if you do the paper yourself and then only watch the video if you don't understand how to approach a question
Ahh, just when I needed this video, thanks Sarah!
Hope you enjoyed!
Love this series

Hello, Do you have any tips for using past papers alongside the advanced information
can you do a tut on how you write on the past papers? ❤
Hey Sarah, I have my mocks this week and I was wondering in Chemistry if you need to remember all the equations or will if they give you the equations on the chemistry paper?
I am doing biology ,chemistry and physics .past papers save my life dude 😅❤️ Its very important doing past papers 🙏.
Is it okay if I don’t know every information or topics I need to know and how much past papers did u do?
this is helpful
The thing about evert past papers is that they are exhausting to do but the more you do them the better scores and understanding you gain. So u just wanna keep pushing no matter the pressure. Anyways. Thank you again!
Thanks for these tips. Actually worried bout chemistry since I always get 7 when doing past papers. Gonna start my exams tomorrow with bio. Watched your bio vids already and have been studying accordingly. My teacher for bio isn't exactly available and I feel like asking my old teacher wouldn't be appropriate so I had to really look at the book carefully. I'm taking Oxford so it's kinda hard to find some topics for bio in CZcams.
Hi dearrr, mind dropping the main topics that you said popped up so often?
I just found your channel and I’m doing my exams next year….This gave me so much motivation
aww glad it helped
@@SarahChu ❤️
hi! you mentioned that you noticed 2-3 topics came up the most frequently in the exam, could you share what those topics were? thank you!!
hey! it's probably different for every specification (i did CIE IGCSE) but for the practical paper acids and bases and separation techniques always came up for us. organic chemistry is always a big one in long answers and also the one with chemical processes e.g. electrolysis, contact process etc.
if you didn't know, there's an advanced information from most exam boards detailing which parts of the specification will and will not be on the test (mainly useful for science). You can find it if you search on your exam board website.
@@ahkz2696 hi! do you know where to find that? I do CIE igcse, if you do the same could you please share the link?
@@aashimakeswani I'm doing AQA and what I do is type advanced information for biology, physics chemistry etc... and it's shows me what's going to be in the test and what's not. This is because of covid. But I'm not sure if it's the same for ur exam board ,but try doing that.

Me too, good luck
I want to do the practice papers, however, I'm struggling to do the questions as I don't know much of the content. How would you attempt trying to tackle the content in order to practice? Love your videos!
Hey! that means a lot! Ali Abdaal actually talks about the STIC framework in one of his videos a while back. basically, there's a lot of scientific evidence that has shown that your brain actually remembers content better if you do practice questions even if you don't know the content. my advice would be to try and learn as you go, if there's a fundamental concept you don't understand, watch a video on it or read up about it. then go back to practice questions :) hope that helped
@@SarahChu Thank you so much that's really helpful! I'll give it a go! I've been binging your videos and they have been so helpful, especially for English.

Hello, could you make a vid about eng lang. it would be very helpful.
Heyy! The syllabus has changed for the year 2023 and it seems like they have added a few new topics T T They also might've changed the question patterns a little. Do you have any tips on how to prepare for it? Thank youuu
Same bro i am gonna take my o level and they have changed syllabus so one thing i wanna tell u is that print learning objectives and study it or if you are goinb to take Cambridge assessments as well so i can recommend u some very good books according to new syllabus available in pdf!
If youre taking oct/nov them 100% solve past papers for m/j my exam is in a month amd im
Low key panicking but its ok!! We can do it and also the topics that are added just require a little bit of memorization and understanding im sure it isnt that hard 🇺🇸😃😃
@@eyo512 I have already given my O levels and I already got my results already :'DD BUT GOOD LUCK WITH URSS
do you have any suggestion for pens? dp you think music can make me focus what type of music? can I do 5 Qpp per day? should I do my own notes, but I did bit haven't finish the chap but still left 1 month? if I have depression and does it affect my memory? do you have memorisation technique or just read it multiple times?
When I took my GCSE chemistry many years ago (I got a C) I found the foundation paper very difficult (it was all applied chemistry and I just wasn't expecting this !!) The higher paper however was quite easy lol I struggled with basic chemistry but found the more advanced stuff easier. Go figure ??!!
would you recommend making short summary notes on key concepts for each topic and then after doing practice papers adding things you got wrong onto those notes and using them to revise?
Yes, that will be good! Make sure to make notes regarding ur spec points tho
hello ,can you please tell me those topics that came up consistently? i dont have time to go through that many papers
thx g
i have a question, it's related to igcse exams, are the keywords of chapters written in the specification, like as you said, the specification is every thing that they can test for the exams, so do they contain definitions of stuff, or can we only know that from the textbook?
Could you please tell me what kind of books/workbooks I need to pass GCSE chemistry exam?
do you recommend doing this for other science GCSEs? also how long so you reccomend to study a day, because I study an hour everyday 30 mins on one subject, and 30 mins and other subject, is that enough?
Wow thankssssss do u recommend anki for year 10s
Yes 100% I wish I knew about anki back then :(
hey sarah, regarding chemistry paper 6 alternative to practical. Do u have a list of apparatus we need to know
Hey, can you please make a video how to get good grade in maths.😊
how would you recommend us to revise quotes from poems or macbeth plays?
Is there a way to manage stress, i feel so stressed as exams are approaching, time has went by so fast. Do you have any revision tips for the day before the exams thanks. Can i just ask what your school did for english literature
hi! what website did you use to get all these papers? i can't seem to find them anywhere haha (2:59)
Hi Sarah, my Science teacher hasnt been in so i havent learnt some topics for my mock exams. What do you think is the best and most efficient way to teach yourself a topic
Remind me if she replies pls
Hey!! Ali Abdaal has a really good video about learning new content :) It's called the STIC method, hope it helps!
Hi can you give tips for motivation?😭
Hi! How do you excel your practical? I always got low marks:(
Hey sarah, do you have any tips as to how to practice maths in these last few weeks if you arent the best at it?
mathsgenie is amazing! videos on each topic and tonnes of past papers! just do past paper after past paper! i got a 7 in december and managed to get a 9 in march just through doing past papers! you can do it!!
what pen do you use for ur ipad and how do u get it to write on the ipad? As in would you download a past paper and the pen just lets you write on them?
Hi sarah! I'm doing cie and have my igcses in 4 weeks time and wld rlly rlly appreciate it if u could tell me all the specific topics which were frequently repeated for both bio and chem paper4 and 6 TT
6 are always well known topics and they always ask abt, its only 4 questions as well
First question is probably name the apparatus and ask questions if there are any errors or like asking for testing certian stuff or asking why did you test this substance in that cetian way
Question 2 is usally a graph and just questions asked ant the points like: why did the rate decrease over time? Or suggest any improvements etc. and sometimes if it isnt a graph question theyll ask similar question theyll give u an experiment they did and start asking questions like why did you wash with distilled water something along the lines
Question 3 is usually a test for certain stuff like observations and results you can actually get all the marks really easily since they will give you a sheet during the exam
And lastly question 4 its plan an experiment these are really easy to answer you can go to the guide and you can see in chapter 11 i think is all the practical and you can watch some videos of teachers answering some plan an experiment questions to give you lots of ideas abt that question
I think this is a super late reply and you probably dont care or probably already did the exam but still just in case any other person sees this and just finds it helpful!!
great video! thank you,

@@SarahChu Any Tips for studying
Physics?
@@nishithaavlogs9077 I ain't expert, but I got A* in physics for GCSE. What I did was
1. Write down all the formulae in the syllabus.
2. Write down the various laws. (eg Lenz's law, newton's laws...)
3. Stick the 2 above stuff on my wall in my room so I look at it everyday several times.
4. Write my own summary notes based on textbook, teacher's notes (sometimes, because many times the teacher's notes aren't efficient), AND MOST VITALLY use model answers (from mark schemes) to write the summary notes.
5. Practise a shit ton of past papers, and correct them using marking schemes.
6. Wake up early twice weekly to study.
7. Work out 3+ times weekly to keep myself healthy physically as well.
8. Listen to lofi when reading the notes. Basically, I could then do more sets of 30 mins study sessions and feel less exhausted. Also, remembering a certain song I listened to while studying automatically pre loaded the information I grasped in my head. My personal recommendation is 'The girl next door'. I listened to this a lot, and well, whenever I hear it, I get flashbacks of me studying arrays last summer.
9. Don't be overconfident. Don't doubt myself. Be calm and chill. Even when I think I won't have time to complete the paper.
I hope this was useful. Lol I just want to share my personal thoughts with people. Good luck with exams
Btw I got A* in Maths and A* in Add Maths, like Sarah said, past papers wass the key for me to ace those.

Hi I have a question. So I have a reduced timetable meaning that I miss first and last lesson. On Monday’s last lesson I have biology which I’m really struggling right now. I don’t get sent any work either as the reduced timetable is for me to relax and not do too much work as I’m currently going through a tough situation due to my medication condition. I’m really stressed and not sure what to do since biology is a subject I’m currently struggling on. Do you have any tips?
2:57 Ok when you say note down the topics, do you mean write down the chapters from which the question came from? or will you write down the exactly what was asked in the question? and another question on this, if 2 questions came from the same chapter and different pages of the same exam paper, would you make 2 seperate bullet points for each question, or would you bunch them together
1. yes i write down the chapters and then the subtopic 2. yeah i made two separate bullet points unless it was a two or three part question
@@SarahChu Thank you so much, i've been stressed for my cambridge board exams that i'm gonna write in 5 months, i'm really nervous because i've never really scored more than 80% even when i have been studying really hard for a subject, your technique is going to change that hopefully, thank you for your contribution to the community

Basically active recall and past papers is all u need to do until ur exams
hi i wanted to ask from the IGCSE biology syllabus (0610) should I just focus on the supplement & core or only the supplement if Im doing extended biology? Asking for the three sciences as well. Im doing extended on all the 3 sciences.

you should ignore the headings in terms of supplement and core and just focus on the parts you find challenging!
