Thing about it is, if Zoro didnt have his own ambition initially to become the Greatest Swordsman he would at best be like Scabbard level once he grew up just based of his training & heritage. I think what would've really ruined it would've been if Oden was a Shimotsuki, as it is what takes Zoro over the top is still his own drive and ambition. Mans created a whole new sword style you have to respect that.
Zoro was trained by a shimotuski and given wado ichimonji he would have surpassed scabbard level the scabbards can take on commanders the strongest scabbard can take on jack 1 on 1 and zoro would have certainly surpassed its in his nature he’s a conqueror
@@misterbk1791 Yes exactly, which is why we have the Zoro we have today. It is in his nature to be a conqueror, and he has CH which you have to be born with. But that has nothing to do with him being a Shimotsuki as we have examples of other Shimorsuki who, while great men in their own right, didnt have that same ambition like Yasuie, Zoro's teacher, & now Ushimaru. My point is Zoro heritage isnt the reason he's gonna be the greatest but it definitely didnt hurt him any to say the least.

I agree with you, but my issue is he has COC, so he has always had the quality of a King, someone who leads, not follows. This usually means they have great ambition by default. Zoro only wanting to be the greatest for someone, just feels off if you get what I mean.

I like the idea that Ryumma was 1 sword style, ushimaru was 2 sword style and Zoro is 3 sword style.
Plus, the idea that Ashura is combination of all three of them is pretty cool. After all, Ashura has 6 arms.

Kiado sees scabbards use ryuo “o this is oden” kiado sees zoro use Emma “ o this is oden. He calls it prescience/ spirit. That can easily be referred to as haki. Ryuo isnt something known but Emma literally takes the users haki and cuts it with ryuo. Kiados ignorance =ryuo= odens presence

From what I can tell the drug regenerates the body and heals but stacks and holds back the pain until it where's off. I forsee a similar nothing happened moment from zoro where he tries to muscle through the pain lol

Get your facts straight KOL. Zoro used one sword style : Lion Song against Hordy underwater and used Sandai Kitetsu for that.
It was a nameless swing in the manga, the anime adaptation tried to not make Hody and Caesar look so weak so they nerfed the Straw Hat depictions in a few places
The way the world and lore are built up in op makes the destiny/fate/will work so much better especially since it's always been there.

We could have 2/3 chapters of Zoro vs King, 2/3 chapters of Sanji vs Queen a possible 2 chapters of BM vs Kidd and Law and squeeze in a bit of Luffy vs Kaido in each of those but also squeeze in Raizo vs Fukurokuju, Hawkins vs Killer, Drake vs Apoo and finish up the Orochi and falling Onigashima sub plots.

@@sora6748 I don't think Oda would brush off the main fighters fights, he went out of his way to announce the stars have arrived in 1022. If no one else Luffy, Zoro and Sanji are definitely getting 1+ chapters dedicated to them closing out their fights and dropping some more lore/flashbacks.

Luffy knows who he is. Luffy grew up with Garp dropping by and Garp told him about Dragon in Water 7 so it's not like Luffy doesn't know his heritage at all, Luffy just doesn't care the same way Zoro is not likely to care about his old man but might care about Ryuma since he kinda sorta met him.

Forgot to say- great video as always KOL, thought provoking, and engaging! I hope that Zoros lineage stays in obscurity for the rest of the story. Oda has given us enough obvious hints (via other characters) as to where his blood line hails from, so revealing it to us will only extinguish the point of his efforts.
The point is Zoro is a Swordsman first, a Pirate second, and definitely not a Samurai of Wano. Connecting his character officially to Wano would only dilute his portrayal in the story. With Sanji, the revelation of his lineage made a lot of sense since it explained why Sanji is so naturally gifted with strength, and so incredibly solid in character (emotional character).
Zoro had a solid upbringing surrounded by hard work that carried over into his adulthood, I hope Oda doesn’t take that away from him by being heavy handed. I think we get it, Zoro has great Samurai in his lineage, but that’s not part of who Zoro is, or what he represents as a character even it is ironically very Samurai like in many aspects.

i feel zoro carrying wado as his third sword is like taking kuina in his quest to become the greatest swordman and if/when he achives that goal zoro has defeated everyone his opponents, but at the end of the day he never got a win in he duels with kuina so technicaly she would always be a better swordman than him.
also zoro said he wants to visit ryuma before he leaves wano so i think he will see shusui again and i guess beside the sword there would be a ponygliph there as well which is letter to a very specific descendant of ryuma. maybe giving back shusui to zoro! thoughts??

It would take away a lot from Zoro honestly. Right now Zoro is the only person in the world that uses 3 swords and pretty much developed this fighting style on his own so it would make Zoro a lot less special if he wasn't the first person using this style.
Looking into the future when Zoro fights against the Blackbeard pirates with Shiryu most likely being a lost samurai from Wano and Zoro being a Wano descendant I'm intrested in how Shiryu will be able to take on Zoro's attacks post Wano my only guess is that Shiryu either gets a sword upgrade himself since Blackbeard is probably getting Kaidou's shadow post wano for durability it's most likely Shiryu will level some way as well and his clear clear fruit max potential will probably allow to become intangible like kamui intangible erasing his existence completely not your normal logia and Zoro's master teaching of cutting nothing will come full circle

100% on board with the theory KOL. King's sword is a sword breaker and it makes the most sense for the Kitetsu to break, leaving Zoro to fight with the Shimotsuki nitoryu. I also think one of the strongest attacks we've seen from Zoro is his itoryu 'Flying Dragon Blaze' with Enma against Kaido in his dragon form. A call back to his 1 sword style vs the dragon in Punk Hazard and Ryuma in the one shot. I wouldn't be surprised if he uses nitoryu to defeat King and also helps Luffy defeat Kaido with that same itoryu attack.

I think like in Ringo, whose Daimyo was Shimotsuki Ushimaru, suspected father of zoro, how a blade is forged for a person from his birth to be carried to his graveyard , zoro also had a blade forged for him ,probably a great great sword since he was the son of daimyo, and also the fact that kaido appeared 20 years ago in Wano and Zoro is currently 21 years old makes it possible. So KOL's theory of Zoro's Sandai Kitesu breaking and afterwards he would recieve his birth sword maybe after act 3 or 4, which would perfectly sit with the other blades in arsenal.

2022 is next year KOL 😂 I don't think Wano will end in 2021. I think FY 2022 Q2, there are too many 🧵 left to tie up in just 12 chapters or so, and that's the amount of chapters what we will get for this year 2021.

Here is the issue 1027 spoilers it seems oda his time table again based off of 1026 I believe the island is on the outskirts of the flower capital at this remember few chapters back 15 minutes was left before it reached the flower capital time has now passed view from the flower capital shows object island seems to be closer than it appears, which gives 5-7 minutes guess of mine before it reaches the center. Oda might off panel most of the fights and let the anime expand. I am not so sure we will see all the fights left.
@@sora6748 well I really hope that’s not the case I don’t read the manga only watch youtubers and anime but I would not like if that amount of material with that importance wasn’t illustrated in Odas writing. There would at least be a huge uproar and hopefully would lead that to never happen again. I don’t think Oda will do this though it’ll simply carry over into 2022 for a month or two.

what if the "presence" of oden Kaido speaks of is part of the process he sword becomes black. Like its a culmination of all the wielders past Haki embued in the sword and when it receives enough Haki, it turns black. Therefore, maybe the spirit of previous users exists in the sword and thats what Kaido felt. It almost like passing the torch to the next generation in hopes that they complete what the former wielder failed to do. Idk i may be talking out of my ass. So Ryuma's spirit may have existed in Shusui

I don’t think he’s a D clan member. We know he is associated with ANOTHER clan that relates back to the void century with the kozuki, the shimontsuki. Oden is not a D but the man boiled for an hour keeping others alive. He has the same will power and nobility that goes with the D.| The shimontsuki we’re probably deeply intertwined with whatever the kozuki did during the void century (poneglyphs and whatever else).
