Disabled Man's Lawn Goes from Chaos to Paradise All for FREE

- In this heartwarming video, I share my experience of knocking on a random person's door because their lawn was severely overgrown. Little did I know, the man who answered the door was disabled and couldn't believe that I was willing to mow his lawn for free. The lawn was a staggering three feet tall in some places, the flower beds were covered in weeds, and the fence line was being overtaken by brush.
I decided to take on the challenge and began by trimming everything in the front yard, followed by tackling the overgrown edges, and finally mowing the lawn. However, the real work awaited me in the backyard. I spent over three hours cleaning off the fence, and then had to mow the lawn four times to restore its beauty.
When I finished, I shared the good news with the gentleman, and he was incredibly pleased and grateful for the transformation. A few days later, he even reached out via email to thank me again and expressed his intention to pay it forward. It's moments like these that remind us of the power of a simple act of kindness and how it can inspire others to "Be The Change" in their own lives.

My husband has copd, four bypasses, cancer, and is 82 yrs old. The problems finally got him this year. He just finish the last job this fall. There will be no more for him now. He loves to be outside working. And now he has to stay inside and watch everyone else. He lived his life to keep a beautiful place. He didn't let his illness get him down and stop working. Your husband reminds me of my sweet neighbor. He was out in his beautiful yard puttering about almost all day every day. He mowed it all, including the lot behind it (on which he'd made a putting green as well as two over 60 year old iris colonies, and a bed of antique iris varieties from relative's yards). He mowed & edged it all himself until at least mid 80s. Started being a little forgetful and mowing every 3 days for a while. His health, and his wife's, has begun to decline. Still he was out with a hose or watering can or pruning shears daily. It's so difficult to give it up, because it's almost impossible to find anyone who has other yards to do, who can afford to put in the time.

These homes were built back in the day when they would give you a real yard for kids to play in. They grow up, and we grow old and unable to keep up with it any longer, for whatever reason. This was a beautiful job you did for this older gentleman. I particularly liked the way you gave a crisp edge to the front yard lawn, most of the channels I watch don’t, they just mow the grass. Stunning before and after! ❤

I totally agree. Others do very little trimming, leaving bunches of dry branches, and they use their trimmers as if they were playing with swords.

Charming post WWII neighborhood.... all the homes are alike....reminds me of the monopoly houses from board game. This yard needed love, you can see she starts to shine after basic cutting and edging up.... what a turn around! Wow🎉

This trend of mowing for free has been a great gift to many people. Not only those whose lawn you take care, but for the rest of us with each performance you participate in. I always push for subtitles and not using plastic bags for debris. You did a fabulous job here.

My husband and I purchased our house in 1985. I told my husband we don't need a lot of property. With God will we will get old one day and won't be able to keep it up. We'll my husband pass away in 2022 (cancer). I'm a 74 year old widower. Heart defibrillator, cancer survivor. I'm still able to work in my yard because of thinking ahead. Thank God. Ale, continue to be the change.❤
