    Gotta admit there is no better than watching full match like this. 2006, really? High screen pixel, fps speed and replays (different angles as well) are all there. Just incredibly wonderful. Thumbs up to the editor, camera men etc. Top upload, much appreciated.

      Emm, F1 had all of it from late 90th. Sport broadcasters are on top level from 80th. No miracles, only matter of ratings and budgets

    love both Timo and Ma Lin - Ma Lin would go on to be Olympic men's singles champion in 2008, and Timo is still playing 15 years later here in 2021...

    Probably one of the best performance Timo Boll had shown against top Chinese players. Not to mention that since 2000 till now (Dec. 2021), Timo has managed to maintaine a brilliant career with a world class level and a pile of titles.. RESPECT!

      So right! His commentary is so informative and helps you understand what they're doing. He leaves the rest in the dust. I would happily watch this video over again if Adam redubbed it with his own commentary!!

      Couldn't disagree more. Adam just talks incessantly. Never knows when to shut up. He's a really bad commentator and I am amazed they've kept him on. He's suited to zany CZcams videos, but the exact opposite of what's needed for live sports commentary.

    @30:55 I am a penholder and relentlessly studying effective serves. How Ma Lin disguised this serve was unreal. It looks like a side spin on contact but woah, turned out backspin. Even top-class and capable as Timo was fooled as well. You've got to have at least 10 different serves and save the best for last 😊.

      it is side spin but ended like empty service and Timo Thought it is high side spin so you put more pressure on wrist but ball is going very slow so you loose power and you are late

    @11::40 Ma Lin was dubbed "Service magician" in China. He could disguise a spin by turning his bat the WRONG way after contact, fooling the opponent to an unforced error for him to kill. This is another prime example although the angle was not the best but Timo was tricked for it. (Sidespin forces the ball to pop up but Ma Lin made it look like a backspin serve). Somehow frame speed here was much better back then, why's that, huh?

    Actually Boll was regarded as almost the only real talent for table tennis in China, because most of champions in this century were produced or trained in China. Almost every guys who play table tennis know there is great player from Germany called Boll

      It's a good question. It's impossible to answer cause of the new balls ofc. But i do think the competition is harder now than then.
      But the balls makes the difference. The game looks faster, more power but that's cause the spin is reduced and the ball had a higher bounce
