    Love the paperwork and the tablet, but the skull looks a bit plasticy, and the two statuettes could have been more dynamic poses to make better ornaments which really lean into that dramatic, biblical, neoclassical style. The rubber stamp is also a lurrrvly addition!

    The problem that I have found that prevents me from totally unboxing, is that there is no real way to "Re-Box." The boxes the individual items came in are of such flimsy stock, that it is obvious that they were only intended to used once. One could argue that this is because the artifacts are to sit on a shelf until needed for a game session. If that were true, than why the wooden crate? The impression I got is that it was intended that players were to be given the joy of digging through it.
    The storyteller would tell one of the players that they had received a package. The player would be expecting a small manageable box, when the storyteller plops the crate down in front of them. The rest of the session is the players digging through it, trying to understand what clues they could find. As it is now, such events could only happen once. In order to have a second such session, the items would have to be repackaged.
    First one would need more of that simulated straw material, (Once the individual boxes are discarded, there is not enough to protect the artifacts,) then something to wrap the artifacts in. The wrap would be the rub. One could use something innocuous like black crape paper, or use a situational appropriate material. For example, news paper would indicate from where the package originally came from and when it was shipped.
    Post Script: Does anyone know what company makes the simulated straw packing material?

    great unboxing and like that additional info. just surprised you dont show the version of the book itself included, odd choice.
    cant wait to get mine, any info when it ships? (i am in the UK)

      The "leatherbound manuscript" that is shown at 4:14 is the version of the book that's included. It's meant to be the original manuscript that Aristotle wrote before it was mass printed as the version we've seen previously with the images and such included.
      As to shipping, they had mentioned in the October update that it was on track to ship sometime this month, but there hasn't been any official word since then if that is still the case. They did say on the Discord that an update should be going out this week. Hopefully it's not just this video they were talking about.
      Fingers crossed, because I want to get my hands on this even more now. XD

      @@MeradinUnknown ahhh i thought it was like an extra? so for the reprint, u need it extra? that would still be kinda st*pid of them to do in such a pricey thing, so i hope not.
      and yeah, december i know, they said that early. so hope for that update too than
      thx for info!

    I must ask is White Wolf bought out or is this another company that also owns white wolf ?
    I ask cause it seems everything is going out more and becoming more mainstream than back when I started.

    what materials are the trinkets made out of? is it an actual stone tablet or hollow plastic? and for the necklace/skull/statues? this is a great selection of stuff but i can't pay $300 plus shipping for a handful of 3D printed sculptures, and it's hard to tell in the video...

    • @emekisscary
      @emekisscary Před 4 měsíci +4

      Nothing is hollow. The tablet is solid and heavy. Nothing is 3D printed. These are solid and manufactured. The skull is awesome! I hope that helps. :)

    Very disappointing, the quality makes $300(250 for us who pre-ordered) hard to justify, side not is there a cross carved into the back of your book? There was one carved into mine and im curious if thats an intentional design of someone at manufacturing got spooked and carved one in

  • @DaveFrostdusk

    It's disappointing that Renegade is charging an extra $80 shipping fee on a $300 item. This seems like an unreasonable and unnecessary cost, especially when other companies offer free shipping with similar purchase amounts.

    • @dratheart
      @dratheart Před 3 měsíci +1

      They have among the highest shipping costs charged to consumers of anyone in the entire industry that I know of, including about $15 for a 300 or so page #TTRPG book & if you have more than 1 item in your order they generally hold back your ordered items that have been released until the very last item is ready so they can ship it altogether rather than ship your items to you so you get your ordered newly released items at the same time as everyone else who only ordered that and eating the cost. Maybe there is a good reason for this expense behind-the-scenes but I sure wish they'd tell us what it is if that is so.
