  • On the previous episode while I was out metal detecting a World War 2 Supermarine Seafire aircraft crash site I found the remains of what I believe is a Webley Revolver. In this episode I have returned to the site to see if I can uncover other parts of the revolver.

Another great vid. Couple of tips with the detector. You're using it in gold mode but would probably get better results with field 1 or 2. When doing the noise cancellation you need to hold the coil well off the ground. I don't personally ground balance as the auto mode does a good job of it but if you do you need to hold down the button and pump the coil up and down off the ground.

Thanks for the tips. I'm always wanting to learn more and I'm still pretty green on the prospecting scene. It has definitely been handy on my air crash videos. Thanks for watching.

You did your home work on that section of gun grip, certainly have an adventure to find the rest, it WILL be out there. Idea on that iron bit you found, could be part of its browning gun mount maybe.

Thanks for the tip Deb. I'll have to do some research on that. That object has been doing my head in as to what it is.

@@AllThingsOutdoors we have an extensive library on most air craft, get your vid section up and send my a still image of the bit, few of our guys may recognise it, could be a good "What is it" for our crew room 😉
