- Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 1 shocked me with how good the story was after which, my expectations for Part 2 became a little higher although I remain skeptical that the Tomorrowverse would manage to pull off two great movies in a row and while that did end up being correct, Part 2 did manage to hold together a coherent story while including some nice twists and turns that made for a pretty good movie that while not as good as part 1, does make for a good bridging between Parts 1 and 3, at least it seems that way. This video will be my review for Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 2.

They advertised this as the return of Batman Beyond, and he barely had any dialogue in it. If I recall correctly, he only had 2 or 3 lines, which is criminal in comparison to how many scenes he was in, especially in the beginning. I'm afraid it might be the same case with Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamil in the third part.
I almost thought he wasn’t going to speak at all. When he did it actually surprised me 😅 Where did Batwing go though?
Well you can't always get what you want so don't complain and think it's bad it's just how it is the writers are just doing there best

My main problem with this two movies so far, is that I don't feel anything for these characters, they're just avatars reacting to the plot. The original Crisis on the comics was using the characters that people have been following for 50 years, so the impact on them matter.
When they announced this movie I though they were gonna use characters from their long history of different animated shows or movies, like Fleischer superman meeting TAS Batman or whatever, but even though, the original Crisis was made to streamline all the earths into one, so It wouldn't make sense to put all their animated shows into one continuity.
Bottom line, I don't know what is the point of these movies other than using the brand name of Crisis.
That would have been a very smart alternative. Instead we got random kinda versions of characters. If this goes on then even the animated movies will become a hassle to newcomers.
Well.. Constantine did show up who may be the one from the universe before tomorrow verse, he was punished after the Flash reset the universe after the apokolypse war

Crisis on infinite earth's as a movie desrves way more of a budget and an excellent script.
Goodness, I thought it was just me. Part 2 was just boring AF. Part 1 was so much better and I hope Part 3 finishes strong.
I think it would have been amazing if the Crisis on Infinite Earths animated movies had leveraged the rich, established characterizations from various animated series within the DC universe, much like they did with Constantine. Imagine incorporating the nuanced Batman from "Batman: The Animated Series," the youthful energy of Young Justice characters, the adventurous spirit of "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," the futuristic vibe of "Batman Beyond," and so on. Each of these series had distinct, beloved interpretations of iconic characters, and weaving them together in a Crisis storyline could have added incredible depth and nostalgia. It would have celebrated the diverse legacy of DC animation while giving fans a truly immersive, interconnected experience across these beloved universes. The potential for storytelling and character interactions would have been immense, honoring the history and impact of these animated shows in a unique and compelling way.
What a stupid idea. You realize the whole point of crisis on infinite earths is to destroy all existing worlds and replace them with a singular earth and continuity. In this case the new James Gunn verse.
If you're idea happened all those pase universes featured would have to be destroyed. Also did you even read the crisis on infinite earths comic? The young justice characters have absolutely nothing to do with that story. You're just thinking of all the cameos you want to see instead of thinking of the actual story.

I'd argue this is Psycho Pirate's movie and that's what they really wanted to make. But, they knew no one would buy it. So, they disguised it as the second part of the Crisis trilogy. Granted, his stuff is actually well done and I ended up enjoying them. However, that's not the point. Overall, this Crisis would probably be much better when watched as a whole because the individual parts are not that great on their own.
I mean if you read the original crisis comic then you can see that pirate was a major character in the event so much so that he’s the only one that remembers it after it’s all over.
@@masenguerra7835 oh I'm aware of that. I also have read Morrison's Animal Man where his knowledge of the pre crisis universe comes in play. I'm just saying that he was clearly the character the writers were interested in and I think they did a decent job on its own. However, this is a crisis with a lot of undeveloped characters that desperately need that creen time. At least in the original book so many of the characters involved had ongoings at the time or other stories fleshing them out. Not here though.

That’s what annoyed me, I ended up loving Charles and not caring about anyone else which is wild since John freaking Smith, my favourite DC character ever, is just there LMAAAOOOOOOO and calls a lady crazy LMAAAOOOOOOOOO then gets depowered for literally no impact LMASJSODSSEEO I hated this film overall so much but loved the emotional beats
The fact that they had the balls to just include constantine, because they didn't know what to do anymore.
It's a shame with as much they were pushing Batman Beyond in the initial trailers that they brought the original voice actor back for him to only have two or three lines. I feel like it was kind of a wasted opportunity. I enjoyed the scenes with Robin and huntress but the joker surprising them and knocking them out with his gun and the flower just doesn't make any sense it's like.. they would be smarter than that.

Main problem is that there's just a lot of characters that don't need to be there, it isn't a Batman movie but yet they advertised him constantly.
That is the DC formula when selling a movie or show: plaster Batman all over it.
Which is funny as Batman’s role in the original comic wasn’t really that big compareed to the movie. Like that shit basically demoted Superman who had a huge role in the story

@@BigK13372 the problem is that they still need to make money and these days most people watch it illegally and so they need to shill the more popular characters to at least get some profit out of it.
Another problem is that the characters are too op and the only way to present a new villain is by dumbing down/weakening some of the heroes.

Not even more mainstream heroes like Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lanterns and Titans get a chance to shine without the Bat brand being shoehorned in. This usually leads to fan apathy and the mentioned piracy of content.
Also the DC heroes being OP isn’t the problem, its the lack of creativity from writers in creating obstacle/challeges for the heroes to face. Like if you read something like Jeremy Adams The Flash or Joshuam Williamson Action Comics those writers manage to write in situation given to their respective op characters (Flash, Superman) that would require creative use of their powers against forces who couldn’t be simply defeated in quick succession. Hell the One Minute War event book did a phenominal job with that for the Flash family where they go up against an alien force who can practically weaponize their speed force
Just finished watching part 2. Hopefully part 3 will remedy the trilogy
Ngl, I was surprised at how much I really liked this movie. Part 1 was pretty ok, but Part 2 actually felt a lot more consistent with its storytelling and really ties in a lot of plots from previous Tomorrow-Verse movies culminating into this movie, like revealing Pyscho Pirate killed Steve Trevor and used his powers to manipulate Aquaman and Atlantis in Justice Society WW2. Not to mention what happened to Kara after losing Krypton and how we get to understand the Monitor a lot more as a character and see Kara go down a darker path because of all the people she lost and because of Psycho Pirate's manipulation of killing the Monitor in misguided anger. The stakes were also pretty high, getting our first glimpse at the Anti-Monitor and setting pretty high stakes with the attack of the shadow creatures, losing more universes and different versions of characters we know, like Wonder Woman. All these reveals made me appreciate the Tomorrowverse a bit more than I expected. However, I didn't really care for things, such as the Batfamily subplot and the discourse between said members, as well as how they got rid of John Stewart's Green Lantern powers, which, like you said, was pretty anticlimactic. Other than that, I have to say that after watching Part 2, Im actually excited to see how all this ends in Part 3

The art style feels so out of place, especially when the script isn’t designed as a thriller/drama. The pacing seems off, but it’s moreover highlighted by a dull and boring script.
Without Superboy Prime, there isn’t even a build up for his fall from grace in the future of the DCAU, which was the best payoff in the mid 2000s.
The biggest slap in the face for fans waiting for the past few months has been Terry/Beyond’s appearance in Crisis. Barely any dialog and he was relegated down to another Bat family background character throwing batarangs. I’m beyond disappointed with Crisis part 2.

The crisis as a whole is going so freakin well. It’s even calling back to some of my favorite movies of the recent continuity of animated movies (justice league would war for example) I’m having a freakin blast with what they are doing with it. I love being annoyed with Kara and her anger issues as always. It’s just her character lol.
All the female characters seem unlikable. All angry with superiority complex. Sad because super girl is dope in the comics.
Supergirl in every iteration has anger issues from my perspective. I personally disagree with the females being unlikable tho. But I respect your opinion bro.

Part 2 is the middle child, so it was always an uphill battle to be fair.
Also, John's return was awesome.
My friend and I watched this together and we both thought it was bad. Like part 1 was really good and then this was basically a psycho pirate movie and felt like filler when it wasn’t focused on him. Some of the storytelling was very confusing. Wasn’t a fan.

Part three really needs to do something with Superman. He had a huge role in the comic but not in the first two parts. At this rate he's only there because they have to include him, he needs a bigger role in part three which is what I hope happens.

Nah I had to force myself to watch through this one, I just don’t care about characters unfortunately. The movie barely moves forward, we basically end the movie where it started. And the batfamily like what happened? They appear, argue with Batman and then start beating each other up for the rest of the movie. Supergirl as harbinger? Why? What was the point? She appears as harbinger once. Why didn’t they just separate the two? Also didn’t the monitor explain that his species are meant to observe and not intervene? Sure be a little upset with him but be thankful he actually is willing to help. Also we got the whole Martha moment from BvS with John Stewart all over again “My name is John” and then Constantine being like “of course, that’s my name”, HAHAHAHA. And the shadow demons were so forgettable. I swear I could go on with how booty cheeks this movie was. What a waste of talent fr.

@@thatoneguyyouknow274 Yeah I know, I’m just saying that the execution wasn’t that good because we saw him use his powers on earth 1 but not on the other earths, so it just makes it seem like the others got mad at each other without the amplification, even Batman. Then when the monitor confronts him, you still see him using it on what I would assume earth one since the beam is still facing forward. I only watched it once and am probably wrong but I don’t remember him saying “I’m using my powers across all the earths”.
Part Two got me Lost?? I was excited for its release because I love Part One. Part Two was a different story, it felt like many parts were left out. Maybe Part Three well answer what was missing??? Thanks for your upload👍 ps: do you know when Part Three well be release?
Excellent, quick review. I did enjoyed Tomorrowverse LSH and CIE pt1, the animation style and character design is interesting too. It looks comic-bookish with the thick black outlines, but at the same time, everyone is so handsome and/or pretty--which I like (to be precise). I agree, too; voice acting is excellent, especially Meg Donnelly, Matt Bppmer (who looks like a live-action superhero), Aldis Hodge, Keesha Sharp, and of course, Jensen Ackles (another excellent pick for a live-action Batman IMO). I have yet to see part 2, but I'm hoping it feels different from your review; I really enjoyed the dynamic between Barry and Iris--it was spot on.
I have a feeling Kara might not die in part 3 tbh since she's pretty much Harbinger as well, if they're doing what the comics did... I'd say she probably will survive in part 3 since Harbinger originally survived the original Crisis on Infinite Earths, but this theory of mine might bite me in the ass though if Kara/Supergirl/Harbinger actually does indeed sacrifice herself and die in part 3, I'm honestly hoping she doesn't die though (Would be heartbreaking to see and she is my favorite character so... Yeah). Meg Donnelly done such a great job voicing Kara in this.
Well if supergirl does indeed survive justice league crisis on infinite earths part 3 then that's a good think not a bad think besides nothing can be as you wish for things to happen like in the original comics story
and besides I hope supergirl doesn't die as well because she's one of my favourite dc characters as well

Is it really hard for these current writers to make a proper DC multiverse crossover movie. Justice League Crisis on Two Earths is still the best one.
The middle movie is often set up for part 3 but I still loved this movie

personally i think the movie is alright but i do think there should be a few more movies before the crisis started
a few movies that should exist (in my opinion):
batman: earth 2 ( sadly i got spoiled for its comics but i think it would make a good movie), batman beyond (the fans are hungry), superman: kingdom come (superman and ww from the kingdom come universe appear so why not also it will not be just another batman animated universe), 1 for the guy that lives in the post apocalyptic earth and is being chased by monkeys (i dont remember his name but he was also in batman: brave and the bold and having a completely random project like that doesnt hurt)
The Superman & Wonder Woman relationship is great but other than that the whole crisis storyline is just really played out for me. We've seen it a million times.
My only positive for this movie was Psycho Pirate and them showing us how much of a threat he is. Don't mind seeing a live action stand alone about him.
I really wish I knew going in that part Two is kind of is a prequel to the first one I would have watched part two first since I didn't see part one with all this set up

These movies got boreing AF as soon as they ended the Justice league dark apokolips war. Everything from justice league flashpoint paradox to Dark Apokolips war is where its at.
The flash was the soul of part one but this part felt soulless
I like the way it tied into the rest of the Tomorrowverse by showing where Supergirl was before Legion of Superheroes and the reveal that Psycho Pirate was the one controlling Aquaman in Justice Society WW2. Also revealing that Psycho Pirate was disguised in the Blue Beetle showcase was cool. But as a movie, it wasn’t great and didn’t feel like a complete film. The Batman parts felt unnecessary and it needed a stronger conclusion.
i see many complains about Batman, i think the animated movies, got people used to Batman being the center point of the story that now he is not, people just complain, but as you mention on the review, he does not play and important role in the original crisis story.
Also people jumping into conclusion without having the whole story, we need to remember this is a 3 part story, i like how the story is moving and how they connect characters.
I will wait for the 3rd part to give a full yes or no!
I grew up reading the original Crisis on Infinite Earths as a teenager in 84-86. This maxi series in DC comics was epic and shocking. So, after all this time, I just CANNOT go with this adaptation in the animated. I just CANNOT deal with this lazy way of telling stories. COIE had so many of DC’s characters who were drastically changed or killed off. It was that drastic. So again, I can’t support this garbage!

Graphicaudio does this story in audiobook format with a full cast of voice actors and they do it so much better. It's the superior adaptation
I just noticed, this part is when The Flash died. And its released on april 2024, when the CW Flash show showcase that the Flash vanished on the exact date.

Then after that, the spectre showed up to him and explained that it was his punishment for causing flashpoint (aka the flashpoint paradox movie) which led to the dark apokalips war (which killed almost everyone in the universe by darkseid) which led to this new timeline which crisis is happening. Then he was put to rest by the spectre (I think) and make him watch different moments of the timeline. Now Im not sure with some of this info, but that's how I undeestood it and how blacklions previous video about this explained it. So if you want to clarify more, feel free to ask.

I have to say this is a really true to movie...... review because it was exactly how i felt it ia a good movie on its own and doesn't have much problems as in which warworld did....and the rating you gave is just my rating.
I found the movie to be amazing the way it was.... although i though it would hw better but i did appreciate all the different perspectives.....
Theres just something the whole tomorrow verse is lacking which is enough solid and sweet action.
Who else noticed these movies have longest time periods of dc animated movies but feels rushed.
We have 90mins+ here and it feels rushed when we used to have 70mins movies with action and some story and were all hapoy
Things I liked about the movie:
-Psycho Pirate's entire monologue/backstory
-Supergirl and the monitor storyline (though not at first when I figured out what they were cooking i enjoyed it)
-dr. Light (she's the right amount of annoying for me where she's entertaining to watch but not insufferable)
-the question, mr terrific and blue beetle because i dig them as characters
-those atomic knights or whatever their name was
Things i didn't like
-all the silly naming instead of characters already having their names. Like when john called himself pariah, or when pscho pirate named the anti monitor or when Kara names psycho pirate. I wish they just had their names before the movie began. I completely agree John Stewart calling himself John just to get Constantine to switch back was dumb
-the anti monitor acting dumb like he doesn't know how to speak, bro didn't even know what a name is
-constantine switching back. Pariah is supposed to be a tragic character. I mean not only did Constantine switch back he also activated a tower. That's literally the opposite of what the actual pariah does. He is supposed to be powerless to stop the destruction of worlds.
-how kara killed the monitor. I mean just a few minutes ago the monitor showed us his shield could block her heat vision. I thought she was gonna kill him wish a blast of the power he gave her.
-i get that Batman is DC's biggest character but Jesus he has almost nothing to do with crisis on infinite earths and we've got his entire family taking up screen time just to he can learn a lesson about family. If any superhero should have his family in this it's superman. Where is superboy prime? Or Alexander Luthor we were on earth 3 in the last movie?
-I get what you're saying but when i started this movie i was waiting for an emotional Supergirl death the same as the flash's death so personally I'm a little disappointed she made it.
-when the shadow demons fused the stakes immediately lowered for me and that cliffhanger was not tense at all because i don't take giant monsters seriously. I think the cw got it right, they should have ended with the destruction of the multiverse save a few earths and a rag tag team. Also i think we should have seen the anti monitor's design by now (I also pray that armoured shadow demon isn't what the anti monitor will look like)

I’m pretty sure the Monitor let her kill him and I liked the Kara and Monitor story line too but Kara kinda was annoying for the rest of the movie imo, I know she lost people she cared about, but there are so many other worlds, so many lives that were close to getting destroyed and she just stood there looking like a deer and Superman had to call her back to reality

Tbh I like this version of Supergirl and I think her association to the Anti Monitor actually brings a lot to her lore. Imagine if she wasn’t just delayed going to earth but actually spent her time with the monitor but doesn’t remember it
I think part 2 is all setup for part 3.

Imma be honest both me and my bro hated this movie. I was just annoyed asking myself why couofnt we have gotten some of this stuff before this movie even came out. The movie is forced to set up all this stuff because the heads at warner bros wanted to kill off the tomorrowverse after only 3 years.
Epic animated event on infinite proportions that will be lost on most observers
Dcau has always been Superior for animation, but the art style and voices for this series just aren't doing it for me. I thought that final frontier had a rough art style, but this just really felt like they we're phoning it in.
Yeah this was definitely a let down.
Like part one I was certainly invested from the character exploration of Barry to the non-linear style of story telling fitting to the whole time motive to the whole severity of the Crisis that has me hoping the heroes succeed in the end.
Like the only praise I could give to part 2 is the action scenes and expanding upon Psycho-Pirates character as being like this universe hoping villain who took on different names and roles in the multiverse (which certainly justify why Anti-Monitor would recruit said villain). Other than that the movie failed at developing character interaction which I hoped to see more of but it felt flat, the pacing is a chore to watch bogged down by the backstories involving Pp, Kara and Monitor, and despite the shadow creatures being the main villainous force attacking the battles seem rather small scale in execution (they’re good tying back to my point on the action but they could of been bigger in scope).
I'll never know why they think that Crisis, arguably DC's best story ever needs to be changed so much every time they adapt it.
The Arrowverse Version was mostly terrible and this one is a mess. With three movies they have more then enough time to tell this story and yet they clutter it up with nonsense and too much focus on individual stories rather then telling one grand epic.
If they ever do this Live Action I hope James Gunn sticks to the OG story more.

@@ieuanrichards8840 No you don't and it's not up to you to tell other people what they have to like or dislike. Why couldn't it follow the comics version exactly? Theres nothing stoping them from doing a more faithful adaptation.
Nothing says it has to be exactly like the comic, but theres no reason to change this much to the story. Theres only one part left and it has a lot of ground to cover because they've dragged out these two movies so much.
You may like it but other people have as much of a right to their opinion as you do.
My problem with both crisis animated films are that stuff just happens...and when something big is about to go down...its over....#3 really has to hit its mark or this will have been a full disappointment IMO

Part 2 was SO disappointing to me. I loved Part 1 (especially since I’m a Flash fan) but part 2 seem to be advertised as the Bat Family movie even putting them on the front cover but they’re barely in it. Batman beyond only has 3 short lines. This was a Psycho pirate movie with a lot of stuff animation
I'm just wondering if Kara is going to die at the end like in the comics or is she going to live.
I understand why Arroverse let her live. She had her own show and they weren't ready to end it yet. So they killed Oliver off instead, since he was on his last season.
Now we have to wait who knows how many months till the next part

The only part i loved was the interaction between Constantine and Stewart. Batman the doom that came to Gotham is the best animated movie DC has done for a while.
Part 2… it combined the story… at least it did that. Bottom line, part 1 (flash) was definitely better entertainment.

These shared universe movies lack soul. Dont me wrong, some of the one-off movies like Injustice sucked but overall are better quality.
It was better when they were doing the one-off movies. I want more of those to return. And not just Batman. Do the other characters.
I miss things like Green Lantern Emerald Knights or All-Star Superman.

Nothing works I'm amazed how much of this was a mess. They're doing this thing where they're both ashamed and proud of psychopirate trying to rationalize his moniker, justifying his comicbook name like it was so unbelievable... The backstory is cut short before really going anywhere and if Kara is to take him for a pirate just give him a pirate hat already.
Batman scenes were the most boring stuff led nowhere, felt like we've been there a billion time. Kara lacked charisma a lot... Wonder Woman plot point where alternate Amazon are EVIL BECAUSE THEY LOCKED DOWN MEN made me sick, Green Lantern/John Constantine felt random, Idk It was an upsetting watch.
Yet Mar Novu and Psychopirate still worked, Psychopirate had charisma but few other DC animated movies bored me as much as this.
They really shouldve had just 2 parts. 3 parts for this is a bit stretching it. Has some issues with the story so far but its fairly enjoyable, Part 1 was better IMO. Part 3 better be insane.. cause part 2 was very meh.
I know this movie is focused on the heroes, but where are the people in the rest of the worlds?
Even if PP calm vibes, shouldn’t we still see that part of this story?

To be honest the only movies i really liked frim this universe so far are the long Halloween movies, and while they weren't rippping the pages of the comic like invincible is, it gave a new spin on the dark murder mystery. These movies just really feel like cash grabs promoting things like batman beyond and Kevin Conroy's batman is pretty scummy.
None of these CRISIS adaptations are as cool and as EPIC as they should be. The CRISIS event in the comics tried to make sense of the 30 years of comic book multiverses. Having 3 movies manifest the MASSIVE sacrifices that Flash and supergirl do in the 1985 CRISIS comic just isn’t enough.
It WOULD HAVE BEEN if they included ALL the animated universes as part of the CRISIS films. That would have been epic. Imagine Young Justice and Batman Animated Series/Kevin Conroy and Superman and etc. THAT would have been EPIC. Instead we get something that feels rushed and soulless.
I thought it was ok but not a true adaptation of the comic more in context to the tomorrowverse. You sorta have to enjoy those other movies to appreciate the nods given to past films. The main characters are supposed to be Supergirl/Harbinger, Paycho Pirate, Constantine\Pariah. I’m just hoping we see Alexander Luthor Jr and Superboy prime

Honestly, I kinda preferred part 2. I think the story was told better in my opinion. Part 1 felt like a lot f moving pieces, but I still enjoyed it.

Actually, but because there were so many new characters with their new voices, super abilities and actions that will give another show a great idea for a show, called young justice will soon come up with a young justice and beyond as a season 5 and it’s been looking for new characters, voices and actions and super rubbery suits so maybe all that information could work for young justice and beyond as season 5 but maybe they could try to put all that information into a different way for young justice and beyond to work and that show will be released in 2025 but in the meantime, since were 2024 they’ll take time to work on it

I kinda enjoyed it, but I can agree it was a serious downgrade from the 1st, they were also making this look like a return of Batman Beyond and his original voice actor, but then he was only in for like a minute.
What’s funny, is so many people wanna talk about how DC has better animated projects than Marvel. Yea definitely not lately. Not trynna diss DC. But my god do they need to step it in their animation department. They have not released a god film in a while. Their Elseworld movies and tomorrow world films have all been painfully mid.

Part One Should have been focused on the Monitor. Part Two should have been focused on Pyscho Pirate and Part Three should be focused on Kara.
I skipped to the ending after half of the movie. It was so slow, badly paced and the story was boring to follow along. Also lacked a central character to focus on like in part 1.
