I find it kind of cool that instead of dying, the boss warps away, implying it or this part of it is only injured or damaged.
Metyr really is the superior sibling. Even Elden Beast couldn't avoid being killed.
Really out of nowhere boss, but very cool nonetheless. The finger sidequest stuff is so esoteric and bizarre, it might just be my favourite part of the DLC. It's also memorable too, alongside the Abyssal Woods/Midra's Manse, I keep thinking about it over most of the other parts of the game

So this is the queen of the spider fingers I guess this boss kinda confirms it that spider fingers are an alien race that came from a dimension out of space
Lore from remembrance:
The mother of all Two Fingers and Fingercreepers was in turn a magnificently gleaming daughter of the Greater Will, and the first shooting star to fall upon the Lands Between.
One of the descriptions mentions how five fingered hands are synonymous with a gift of sentience from the Greater Will. Could possibly mean that hands themselves are inherently alien in the Elden Ring universe and human forelimbs were forcibly evolved into their shape by extraterrestrial influence

Child of the Greater Will. Was sent by it to control everything, she’s above the Elden Beast. This boss is the one who controls all two fingers and tells them what to say. Shes essentially manipulating everything by orders of the Greater Will

How was this not a final boss in the main game? Never mind it was too easy. But damn doesn't it look like an end game boss

I feel like this wouldve been much more fitting as the DLCs final boss as another encounter after Miquella and Radahn. Regardless its a really cool boss with fascinating lore
considering it is canonically the one pulling all the strings even above elden beast yeah definitely😂
I think they probably wanted to, but saw it was too easy compared to Radahn. Still, it would have been cool to have this be an immediate follow-up boss anyways. I think people will be disappointed Radahn is the final boss, but really this feels like the "conclusive" part of the lore. We finally know the source of the fingers now, which was one of the most bizarre points of the original game.

This fight and Bayle have been my two favourite bosses of the DLC. Bayle for the music and coolness and this one for how weird and interesting it is. From are at their best when they get a bit weird with it. Makes me wish for Bloodborne 2 even more.

@@bryanmichimani3784 great job my guy! I learned the best thing to do is use a greatshield for those attacks then retaliate with a counter. But now I regret not trying it with the spiked greatshield specifically, could you imagine damaging and applying bleed for every time it's side attack would normally hit you? It'd be crazy!

How tf do you dodge the twin laser black hole bs, it doesn't come up in this video but omfg the first laser is impossible to dodge, i beat the boss once already but i have to fight it again with an acc that takes more damage
Get behind the laser, just right at the edge of the inner ring, then feel free to use your range attack.
Move in the direction of the lasers until the first one lifts upwards then stay behind them, from what I can see. I haven't tried this, I'm just basing this off of how the lasers appear to move.

I genuinely didn't know how to approach this thing so i wound up equipping the Great Club and spamming Golden Land from a great distance.
The gold darts deal reliable damage and have stupidly long range.
In phase 2 she gained an opening during her floating-helicopter-gap-closer move where if i out spaced it i could cast a full rot breath on her, after ~2 or 3 casts it proc'd rot and that alone can wipe half her health if you focus on dodging.
Not my proudest kill but i still won the fight.
This give me both rom and ebrietas vibes somehow.
Dude what is up with bosses who have multi hitting attacks that just barely attack faster than you can dodge? Seriously thats just straight bullshit
Dodge the right way m8, try jumping over a ground hit (more Iframes and smaller hitbox), roll into something or at an angle that second attack misses, try running circular to make the first attack miss then dodge the second. Just try stuff out and go into the fight with the intent of learning moves instead of winning so you can focus on timings angles openings etc.
Punishment for missing the first dodge, that's what it is. You can do the same thing to enemies.
