Have been to this place since the 80's when it was a small shack outside the house and the Cafreal cost was Rs 40. We went by Bicycle from Mapusa to Saligao for this dish and later went for a swim to Calangute Beach. Thanks Moses for bringing back the memories. You are truly ' Vocal 4 Local' 💖

Thanks Moses. Your videos are fab. Do continue the restaurant coverage along with the beaches. We attempted Florentine a couple of days back, but ended up with a few scrapes on the car, as the parking was full and we had to reverse all the way back through the narrow lane. I so hope next time we are in Goa the experience would be luckier.

We used to always go to Florentine for the Cafreal, it was really good. But the last time we visited, Oct '19 it wasn't, was more like boiled chicken with gravy, we were extremely disappointed.
After this video I think I'll give it another shot though.

Hey, Moses thanks for sharing this video, however from what I remember Florentine's Cafreal wasn't that great probably because I got a breast piece that was bland, dry and the gravy was impotent. Anyways I am glad that you had a great experience. Cheers!
Absolutely true. We too tried the cafreal and the chicken was bland the gravy was not at all tasty and was so little. When we asked for more, the guy out there was very rude and said that we don't usually serve more of it. To top it all he was explaining to us how we should be eating it. Very bad experience.
Hey, yes I remember having a similar experience before when I had gone a couple of years ago. But now the son has taken over the restaurant and the family cooks the food themselves hence the quality has improved immensely with the old family recipe. I don't do any sponsored videos so if it wasn't good I would never post it if I didn't have a good experience. But I completely understand what you meant as it happened to me before. Give them another try now.

Aaah! This is one place which I haven't tried.. I always look for one or two new restaurants whenever I am in Goa apart from the usual favourites - - next time it will be Florentine. Till now, the best chicken Cafreal that I have had in Goa has been at a small restaurant called Golden Eye at the very end of Holiday Street near the beach. Run by Mathias Mascaranhas (Matty), they serve fantastic Cafreal and Rava fried dishes. The Xacuti looks delicious too and so did the Rava Chicken. But excuse me.... Can't handle Feni - - find it too strong😀😀

Bro if possible do a food review in a restaurant which is located in Tito's lane. I forget the restaurant name but there beef roast is ultimate in taste. It's opposite to a newly opened pub in Tito's lane and it will located on your right hand side when you go towards club mambao
