Sir, Wagner himself would have been brought to tears if he heard this unbelievably technical and brilliant performance. I know this piece very very well and am speechless after listening to this recording. You are definitely one of the greatest organ players in the world.

Extraordinary! I am a symphony musician and would never believe that the voicing and expression achieved in this performance on an organ were possible if I had not seen it with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears. Nathan Laube is truly a musician's musician of the highest caliber.

I listened to this again with new computer speakers. Notice the last six minutes or so he's playing the melody with his left thumb while the rest of that hand is busy with chordal accompaniment one keyboard up, the right hand is doing that endless running sixteenth note shimmering obbligato, and the pedals are not 'un-busy'. Wow! So subtle and completely musical, that if you don't watch him play, you forget it's not an opera orchestra.

Mr. Laube’s unparalleled virtuosity playing this exciting transcription, and others he regularly programs, lifts the organ from the heap of dreary organ literature, and proves the pipe organ can be a relevant, secular concert instrument. Kudos to Lively and Fulcher for this work of art. This is what an organ should sound like. No digital organ could compare. Too bad it is associated with the Catholic Church.
