Who is listening this masterpiece in 2024?
Me
me too 😊 suddenly remembered this song
Right now 😊
Me 😊
Me 😊😊😊
Two South Indian men singing in English and Hindi, casual multilingualism is something India should always be proud of.
Yes that is even my point things which we should be proud of ...we are fighting over that!
Today I learned, Leslie Lewis is South Indian. I looked up and got to know that he has even sung Tamil film songs .
im 16 years old i like this song unlike my friends who like all shiity songs of todays date
Exactly what a world-music fan across the globe loves to hear too 🎧🌎🎶💖
But now let’s cripple that fabric and make Hindi as mother tongue of India. Why? Why not integrate other states as unity by facilitating cross states language as additional language to learn right from school days. There you go then - next generation is more Indian.
October 1996.... One of the best year's of the 90's decade. This song was lit on all radios and TV's. We purchased the cassette from Magnasound, which i still possess till date. Dad used to play this song while driving. What a time. What memories. Who's here in 2022?
Me same 😄
100000👍 likes for your comment.

80s and 90s songs are best
❤❤
today we can watch it easily but in our golden past we have to wait for this....90's kids will understand ☺☺☺
Yes... For the whole day before MTV or V channel or B4U...
Yes i watch it on mtv
Exactly dear..those golden days
Rinti Baishya ya I still remember when I was a kid ... everyday in streaming this song... our parents seasonal song
So true....and that’s why kids today don’t appreciate anything....
Oh, anything for the 90s. Those were such joyous days, days of tension free lives, great times at school, endless games with friends and not a care in the world. Those were days without cellphones, ipads or the electronic junk of today. Where the only tension in my world was getting scolded by Mom and Dad, when the only money we had were a few rupees in our Duckback school bags, when "Superhit Muqabla" was a must watch, when "Dekh bhai dekh" ruled the then newly launched DD Metro, when owning a Maruti 800 was considered a status symbol, when Dad's trusted scooter, older than me, used to take my sister to her classes, when we as kids knew and got excited when the rain fell for the first time on dry earth, when making a trip by train to meet relatives and cousins were events we looked forward to months in advance, and a time when family was all around always. And cut to today, 15 yrs post the year 2000, while we've all made good progress materially, we've become hollow to the core. No amount of technology can take us back to the good old days. Anything for a time machine now...
rahulthehighlander rightly said brother missing my 90s like anything....
totally agree
rahulthehighlander very true
Ur right brother grate time and ur every word is true
rahulthehighlander so true...
This song feels like, It's a 5 P.M My school has ended and am running 🏃 toward my house to change a uniform and early waiting to play cricket at 5:30P.M.😍
There is no 5:30,lol. The video itself is 4:18
Yes😂. washing hands, legs and face then Changing uniform, drinking tea and go🚴🤩.

Y'all don't know NDT records Hindustan classical while HH is on Startalk
they are coloniel cousins
I know, when i was in my mid teen, the album was launched. I bought the cassette for Rs.50/-(Magna Sound) and still it is with me (2016)... Colonial Cousins really rocked late 90's... Love the band...
I bought it for 35
same here
So many 90 memories buried in my 💓
Agar paise nahi hote the to main blank cassette lekar copy karwa leti thi shopkeeper se only in 20 rupees 🤣🤣🤣
I have it too...My dad didn't like pop much, I used to play it loud, fairly loud..The first time I played this song, saw my dad following the rhythm..Such a talented performer, knew what he was doing, lost my mom last year, so much of memories, made me sad, made me happy...Love this song.
OMG this song transports me back to my teen years instantly. Those days of school, playing with friends after class, listening to music on Walkman, getting beat by teachers for not doing homework, lullabys of my grandma (passed away since), watching Rangoli and Chandrakanta on DD1 on Sunday, not being able to talk in front of my first crush ... gosh I'm so teared up writing this. Why can't we stay young forever?
Well written bro.. I felt that too
Sounds like you and me have had the same childhood, amazing years of the 90s.thank God for those magical years
exactly... same teen age feeling and excitement till today when i listen colonial cousin songs.. in fact hindi pop album cutlure we grown up :)
Wonderful !!!!

Tears streaming down my cheek as I listen to this .. :') ....
Kept on repeat and listening.. again and again and again.... emotional right now.
I understand. I am the same way. But don't think it is simply nostalgia. It is far deeper and complicated than that. Read your words. Felt that someone has to respond to your words.
Innonece and far from materialistic things gotcha..that kind of feelings..far off the horizons and crossovers the mountains
Same.. Bro.. 😞.. Some one bring me time machine..
Exactly same here friend
this song is literally unforgetable❤
90s were magical.nothing will ever come close.glad we lived in 90s.when we played with friends not gadgets.when we cherished everything, first rain, summer holidays, holi, Diwali, going back to our villages during holidays.
The more & more i listen to music in 90's from around the world, i realise there were some kind of a vibe or energy circuling around the world and inspired all these musicians to creat such great music in 90's. music is declining compairing to that time.
+Ashwini Sharma Yes completely agree with you. The ugly face of terrorism took over from '01 which has changed the modern world and it's thinking and freedom. 90's was about being free like a bird and creativity and new learnings. Miss it badly.
sam biani
absolutely agree with you
That's true for any decade, including our own. For example, we THINK there's a major difference between Ariana Grande and Kpop, but thirty years from now when we look back on our era, we would see that they both captured the spirit of the 2010s/2020s.
what happened to albums like these .. RIP 90s :(

Coincidentally remembered this song which i heard in childhood days on the eve of Ganesh chaturiti 2020 (0:00 ~ 0:27) ! May Lord Ganesh Bless all of us a peaceful life hear after and help recover the COVID patients fast !
Holy Moly!! Listening to this is such a joy. God bless Hariharan and Leslie for such gems. India is glad to have musicians that can literally raise the country's spirits with their music.
So nostalgic!

My very first live show of these legends back in 90s & I still treasure those tickets 😇 What an album 🎶 When I got the chance to sing with Hariharan Ji in music groups... I showed him the tickets & he was excited like a child 😊 He was so humble to teach us the nuances, notes... wow 👏 God Bless Him 💐
My first ever song on channel V when we got dish tv access back in 1997
I think the video captures the spirit of the 90s so well. One of our foots lay in 'tradition', while the other lay on the grounds of an approaching 'modernity'.
P.S. its so humorous that the newspaper in the video is titled "the daily blab" :P
ये song सुन कर आज खुशी से आंखों में आंशु आ गए

No doubt Hariharan and Eric both did exceptionally well but Did anyone observe quorus as well and their body language? They are backstage artist but look here what energy in them and they converted this melody into master piece and this is actual teamwork..
Its not Eric bro along with Hariharan..its Leslie lewis😊
90's kids can feel the depth of the song. Kids give attendance for the 90's legendaries.
I still remember this song. I used to hook to TV just to watch this song. missing those golden days. Only 90s kids can understand it.

Even if there is time machine and we go back to that time now ..we wont experience that kind of life now. Its a beautiful memories we filled in our heart . Those days were never come back but just by reminding them i feel happy and obviously its nostalgic.
True! And after 20 years, we will want to come back to the time we are living now.
Surprised, that one of the best songs of those days and only 25 K likes. But I guess its just been 5 months since the upload. Hope more people watch this classic from back then :-)
