This is so nostalgic 😞 I, reminisce staying up to 5AM watching my big brother play this Game. As it rains and thunder outside with the lights off the only light that came into the room was from the TV screen that lit our eyes. Not to mention this game itself had a spooky sensation almost as if the game was actually in our room. Watching him play konquest and hearing the chilling background music as each ending plays. *Sighs* I get chills just thinking about it till this day.
Kitana and Sindel did release Edenia from Outworld back in Mortal Kombat 3 in the end then an Edenia traitor who was an agent of Shinnok Tanya betrayed and allowed Quan Chi and Shinnok to arrive in that realm then Liu Kang was able to defeat Shinnok and everything went back to normal until Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance where the formation between Quan Chi and Shang Tsung proved too much for Liu Kang and the clone of Shao Kahn
It's neat that in the 3D era trilogy we had a character narrate the arcade endings what with Raiden narrating Deadly Alliance then in Deception it’s Shujinko minus Raiden and Onaga's endings and in Armageddon it’s Argus minus Taven's Konquest ending. Then in MK vs DC & MK-11/M1K each character narrates there own endings.
It's interesting to know that regardless of the new timeline, that some of the events in the First timeline still occurred in the new timeline such as Raiden becoming corrupted and Shinnok's attempt to invade the Realms.
Not just that, Liu Kang’s untimely death, Jax’s metal arms, and Scorpion’s murder of the first Sub Zero, Bi-Han, are some of these events that are constant in both timelines! I think it’s cool!
It makes sense in context. The previous game ended with her soul being used to help awaken Onaga's army. Bo Rai Cho managed to undo the transformation but her soul was still connected to the warrior, which left her corrupted and compelled to serve Onaga.
at the end of this Shujinko separated Reptile from Onaga's conciousness and in turn sent it to Nightwolf in the netherrealm, he was freed by shinnok and told him and quanchi to tell Shao Kahn who wasnt killed btw, about the Temple of Argus and the Brothers.

He was alright in my book but if I had to guess the disappointment, I'd say fans weren't too impressed with design, moveset and execution of his story in Deception. Not one of the worst looking characters but sort of a let down compared to others and given the new timeline and Dark Raiden, I was hoping to see them bring back Onaga and redo him and make him less laughable (low kicks and bicycle kicks are his Achilles Heel). And while he does cameo in MK11 in Kung Lao's ending, he's quickly killed by the guy. Yay... (Although apparently Shao Khan's new look is based on him acquiring Onaga's power).

I love that MK:D endings are actually personal stories that sometimes end in tragedy or insignificant to the overall plot as it focuses on character specifics and rivalries. I’ve always hated the MK11 endings where every single ending is exactly the same and they all defeat Kronika, get control of the hourglass, (often revive their family, clan, race, people, realm), and become the omnipotent god keeper of time no matter how much it doesn’t make sense for the character or how they may just be a low level goon that could never defeat the titan lol MKD & MK:DA both have really believable endings and most were actually canon later

I used to watch these endings in a specific order. Scorpion, Nightwolf, Mileena, Baraka, Sub Zero, Hotaru, Kenshi, Havok, Kabal, Kobra, Kira, Tanya, Jade, Li Mei, Shujinko, Raiden, Dairou, Darrius, Ashrah, Sindel, Ermac, Bo Rai Cho, Noob-Smoke, Goro, Shao Khan, Liu Kang. Only because some of those endings set up another characters ending. Its less confusing that way.
Dylan Ogg I know what he meant and I say that's not happening. In Deception they were saved by Liu's Spirit and Good Ermac. In X Liu's spirit is corrupted so that can't happen.
+Black Rose Lord Ermacs' fighting ability is the fighting ability of all those souls already so by absorbing Ermac he is indeed absorbing the fighting ability of hundreds of fighters although I don't know if every person in Ermac is a fighter I'm sure some of them are just average people.
I wish *"MK: Deception"* would have been the actual real End of the 3-D Era instead of *"MK: Armageddon"* where there are a lot of Plot Holes in that game.
Something I don't understand, though. I know that it's a game, and as such, Onaga is supposed to be beatable in Story Mode, but Shujinko's ending say the Kamidogu make Onaga invulnerable(Or close to that). Then how come the player can defeat Onaga without touching the Kamidogu if they're good enough?

If they didn't go back to their roots and make Mortal Kombat 2D again it wouldn't have made it past MK9, that was the dumbest thing they could have done for MK was make it 3D like it was Tekken, SoulCalibur and so on.
