  • Thought i would see how far i could get with one tank of fuel ( E5 ) on my Yamaha MT09SP so i planned a Trip of little over 200 miles which i worked out would be about the limit of 14 liters. With things not going totaly to plan i was so wrong

Well done. A very restrained right hand. Useful to know what can be achieved.

Really enjoyed the video, I get about 58 MPG on my mto9 2021 so I'm really pleased with my fuel efficiency if I ride within the speed limits so happy days, really love the bike and really happy with my purchase. 😊

Today, I was able to sit on the 2023 all brack MT09 at my local dealership. I was so excited and can't wait to getting it next year. I wish I could get right meow at the dealership. I just have to wait all because I don't want notes on it.

This video was a pure joy to watch. Also made me a bit tense at the end there hoping the bike wouldn't just run out of fuel on side of the road.

That E10 challenge sounds interesting. Really curious to see how much if any it makes !!

I've never quite managed that economy but did 211 miles once when I forgot my wallet. My normal consumption is 55 to 60 mpg on a Sunday morning run but regularly see 65 mpg at a slightly reduced pace. A few years ago I would have had a remap and a pipe but with the cost of fuel these days I'm quite enjoying Euro 5. These modern engines are built to run ultra lean and if you ride a lot it all adds up. Never tested on the bike as I always use super unleaded but my car gets about 7% better economy on super, so worth it imo. Thanks for the review. 21 MT-09 SP BTW.

1st bar gone on the gauge I normally start to sweat xD Thanks for the vid, as it will make it more relaxing for me now ^^

Wow, great fuel economy when you take it easy. Can still be fun though, more time to enjoy the scenery🙂 A modern engine and the light wight of the bike does have it advantages for sure, that triple is really a gem....

Great video mate, i knew you would do it as i have the same model 21 plate and i average 65.1, in over 50 years riding bikes this is the most economical and fun bike i've ever had, lost count years ago, being a naked i've had to slow it down on motorways as too much wind, that's the bike not me, 😉 anyone notice that the speedo is a bit optimistic.

  • @-danlaw46thebigkidinme-24

Great video would like to see what it would do on a range test on the motorway on cruise control as my fz1n always done an extra 40 miles on my trips down too Portsmouth from west mids. Ps nice bike choice 👌 I'm upgrading soon but can't decide on mt10 sp or 09

With my 2021 MT 09 I've filled after doing 101 miles and had used 7.74 litres (also 7.81 litres after 108 miles, 6.46 litres after 90 miles) with normal riding, so I can absolutely see that 200 miles is possible with careful riding.

66.9 average on my '21 storm fluo.. I've had it from new... It's just about 4000rpm 64mph motorway cruising. Take your time and see the world..

  • @yorkshire1290DUKE-R

Very impressed with this. Traded my s1000xr for a 22, but not picked it up yet. Thought I would miss the 20 litre tank of the xr which 180 mile range with normal riding.

  • @RumpledStiltskin-uz1uh

I can’t keep off the throttle so my mileage isn’t great. Fortunately there are lots of filling stations. Always makes me smile so it’s money well spent.

  • @F1REBEARD

Hey man! A bit off topic, but what windscreen are you using on your bike? Looks good 👌

  • @markosz22

What I learned from this is that the fuel gauge is pretty scary and all over the place. First bar takes ages to disappear, then the 3 small bars combined go down faster then the big chunk, but the reserve is surprisingly huge.
