As someone who has finished the game, I think it spoils the game for people when you tell them that their base is going to be flooded, I actually considered it pretty awesome, it gave me a challenge to move out of there as soon as possible.
I did warn that there were spoilers. Hopefully this was a good enough warning to people.
@@BeermanGamingHQyes dont worry 😅 i appreciate the info bc i dont wanna move everythinf into the flat lands last minute 😂
I discovered the impending base flooding just last night actually. I was panicking seeing the water level rise almost up to my base, however through dumb luck I’d built my base high enough so it stayed dry when the lake filled 😅
I was in that same predicament, built just a ways in front of spawn and after feeling very accomplished I got the message telling me it'll be good to move up higher. I froze and had to rethink wth I was gonna do haha
The game tells you pretty early on
Straight foward. Calm. Speaking clearly. Great content Beerman Gaming.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Permanent outposts (with beacons) is a good idea early game to exploit more distant resources. Just equip each one with a basic crafter, some storage, and you can also put in a couple food growers as well. Add a water collector outside, and you have everything you need to continue adventuring from that outpost to explore the region. Just hop from base to base and you can cross the map while using up very few oxygen bottles. And if you find something to explore, you can dump what you find at the nearest outpost instead of heading home to unload, and then ferry it in trips, saving time.
Great idea. Thanks for sharing.
I got a small tip about outpost. I just started to play Planet Crafter and i'm around 20h in. What i started to do from the beginning is leave the outpost next to the ships/bunkers i want to explore, build some storage inside and completely explore the ship bringen everything out and put them inside of the outpost. That way i can bring a full inventory to the base and when i return i dont need to go inside the ship anymore. Everything from the ship is inside the small outpost.
Thx for the tips its helping a lot :)
That's a great tip! If you watched any of my let's play, that's exactly what I do. I'm glad you found it helpful.
I was gifted this game almost a year before playing it. Just didn't think I'd get into it. But damn, once I got going I got hooked pretty quickly! I really appreciate the story line and exploring the map. When building kind of stalls out, you can go unlock some story bits and/or go exploring for other crash sites. In the meantime, your terraforming index grows and you'll unlock new buildables. So when you return from expedition you have plenty of new things to build and create.
I love how simple and addictive this game is! Glad you enjoyed it too.
I just picked this up on Friday and haven't been able to stop playing. Just started seeing moss growing around the lake. I had figured out the little outpost trick on my own early on, but didn't realize about the lake filling in until it started happening, so moved my base up to the top of the mountainside (SW corner of the lake).
SO far having a fun time. It's certainly a "how the hell did it get to be 3am???" game :)
One additional tip for when you start fresh, no matter if your choice is standard, intense, or hardcore. Focus on increasing oxygen to begin with. Of course build other things too, but until you unlock that first food grower, focus on oxygen because (especially in hardcore) your space food options run out before you can explore enough (usually) to find enough food to survive. Next, pressure. Get an ore extractor going soonish too since you'll need a lot of resources to build things for unlocking the things to build (cyclic) 🙂.
Nice set of tips. Well done. Does this mean you are moving on from this game? Or taking a break before building a massive resort base over looking the waterfall or/and crater lake area's? 🙂
It's been a fun trip fallowing your progress in this game, very entertaining.
Thanks! And those are some good tips. I am working on some more Planet Crafter videos. But not lets plays until there is an update. But you are on the right track! 😉
My man is the Bob Ross of tips and tricks 😂 very nice. Happy little trees.
I love it! 🤣🤣🌳🌳🌳
Never thought about the outposts. I always carried a bunch of oxygen bottles that took up space in my inventory.
Glad you found something useful in the video!
Been playing for a little bit - loooong way to go. :) The shredder machine was an interesting tip - can't wait to get to drones and incorporate this one. Thanks for the crafting multiple items tip and general comments throughout.
Glad you like the video. Enjoy the game. It is one of my favorites!
The last tip is the best.. but it is more fun, if you get t2 or t3 gear tanks and backpack before you go further away. Boots are nice too, but with outposts its no biggie. I have at least one per biome near a poi, with storage and a craftigbench. There are so much places to explore, its great.
Totally agree!
Holding CTRL also allows you to glitch build. Where you can place many of the buildings closer together than the game would normally allow. Really useful for the solar panels because you can put them base to base touching and have a ton of them in a smaller area. Normal building the game now tries to force a 1-2 spacing without building this way.
I didn't know that. Thanks!
Don't forget the Recycling Machine to get your stuff back while experimenting with larvea, eggs and so on. Can spare some crafting and materials.
I forgot about this one. Great tip. Thanks!
Very nice video, a random great rec from the YT. Lots of great tips, the game has so many great features but doesn't really explain the ways to utilize the later tier items, so thanks for some great ideas!
Glad you enjoyed it and found it useful.
Nice tips, still for newest version 1.0! Agree, try have fun and enjoy, no need to haste/stress the exploration and progress, maybe the best tip! BTW Most of the screens are a part of the storyline (I do not remember if so 9 months ago).
Some more: When have drones (100 ?), then use filters (demand supply priority) when rearrange storage, unless really want to use inventory transfer. Might manually change the filters until have it sorted out. Also can set up dump chests that then got sorted (supply everything) automatically by drones. Auto-crafters will pull from storage regardless of filter, nearest first.
If you have control of the production amount, then very few things need to be scrapped. Abundant common ores can be turned into Super Alloys, so when have T3 auto-miners then can control most amount of ores and production. Bees and Provios fish eggs can be deconstructed (even if manually, it can be done pretty fast since can filter demand), so mostly only scrap Phytoplankton A and B (rest can be used for animal DNA creation). Also some stuff you do not need much of, so select type of storage as a delimiter.
Produce rods at mining sites, then less to transport for the drones. Preferable use many miners, where 1 to some are for the ore itself to be used. Good rod production are needed for speeding up progress.
The more rockets the better, normally 5-10 of each will do, even if can have 1000 effective (too costly of the time needed, since have to do many others things too).
I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks for sharing your tips!
I found the best way to collect butterflies is to build a foundation platform high off the ground. Just wait for them to spawn. Today I found top tier golden butterflies in the Warden's Valley. It saves time and resources when you catch wild ones.
Thanks for sharing that tip!
Thank you for this great video, tip 10 is true, have fun. I agree that you don't need to store lockers full of plant seeds, or flowers. I keep only 5 of each type of seed or flower (except golden flowers). that gives me plenty of resources, I also use the shredder on -1 priority so you don't have stuff clogging up your ore extractors.
Glad you enjoyed it and the game!
I'm so excited for the update! Nice base!
Glad you like it! I cannot wait either!
I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but using Ctrl for multiple items doesn't need you to hold Ctrl when selecting the item to build (as mentioned @ 7:45). You can select the item from the build menu and before you place it, you press and hold Ctrl, allowing for repeated placement of the same item. Just thought I'd mention it. Try it. Tell me if I am wrong. On another note, there have been updates since this video was posted, so maybe it changed with an update?
I don't think you need to hold Ctrl, but you need to press it before you build the next one each time.
@@BeermanGamingHQ In the latest update (recent one, v1.0) then need to hold CTRL while placing to be able to place a next one (without going into the menu). Can let go of CTRL while finding next placement and rotation.
Thanks for the tips! The ctrl crafting is really useful. Also, you should consider doing voice acting 👍
I'm glad you found it useful. I definitely have a face that is made for voice acting! 🤣🤣🤣
Tip: if your sparse on super alloys then disassemble the golden chests. They will give you an extra alloy or two
Very true. Thanks for sharing!
I'll add this tip onto here; always disassemble the chests you come across and have emptied out. That way you won't discover a chest twice and be disappointed when it's empty😅
there are lots of QoL functions with ctrl. besides building several machines or other things without going through the menus for each one, you can do similar for crafting (eg making water or oxygen bottles, making rods, or making alloy), and also on selecting several items for request/supply lists. CTRL ftw!
several things can only be built inside, some only outside, some on normal ground and some on artificial ground (buildings and foundations), a d for some it is your choice. it's best to try each in different locations. eg: i have all my lockers on foundations since that allows me to more easily access them with the jetpack, and also use autocrafters between them, much easier than inside. and i have many machines (eg power generation, and highlevel heaters) outside on several stacked levels of foundations.
most important: use rockets for bonus. the first one multiplies the points you get for oxy, pressure, heat, etc, by 1000% = 10x, the second by 20x, etc. having 100 machines with no rockets, or 100 rockets with only few machies both is bad because 100x1 as well as 1x100 is 100, but 10x10 is also 100 for more bonus from less machines and less rockets.
Thanks for sharing!
In early game before teleporters I build my miners, buildings, etc at my base then delete so I know I have all the resources in inventory before I leave. It was frustrating to try to build away from base and and find I'm short one item to finish. Nice tutorial!
Thanks! And thanks for sharing your tips as well!
Great new channel I’ve found here 👊👽
Welcome aboard!
Super alloy tip; in the aluminium field you can create a super alloy factory.
First with an ore extractor and a building table, later with a autocrafter.
That's also a good place for excess ore.
Cool idea!
Really great Tips. I wish I had seen this when I first bought the game. Thank you Sir. Enjoy surviving on an alien world. And I hope you find a way out after completing your prison sentence :)
Glad you enjoyed it! Enjoy your adventures!
I use the foundation to get on top of a mountain that a player can't get to by normal
I do the same!
I see people having huge lockers packed plants. I know at the beginning you want to be careful with your resources and max things out with golden things, but once you can build your own Pulsar Quartz for the best power source, what possible use is it to have lockers filled with seeds doing nothing?
As someone who likes to horde stuff in games, I can totally relate!
thanks
You're welcome!
cool
Thanks!
you can toggle run
Thanks. I haven't found a way to do that yet.
you sound like Farkat who makes the forest and sons of the forest videos.
I hope that's a good thing!
If you have big storage you meith need to tone down graphycs whan upgrading to T2 Lockers since their animation can cause BIG fps drops.
I have never had that problem but thanks for letting us know!
My only complaint about this game is the way ores work. Scattering them randomly all over the map seems like amateurish game design. I wish they were placed in nodes that you could mine, like Satisfactory. The game would look a lot less cluttered. Some of those ores look like turd piles. Ugh. It's such a cool game, other than that one detail.
Like, add in a tier 1 ore extractor right from the start, and a device that pings hidden nodes, so it's like a treasure hunt. That would be so rewarding. Then, as you level up the tiers, you can find larger nodes that produce more resources faster.
I completely understand. But I find the item storage more frustrating. I wish they had item stacking.
@@BeermanGamingHQ Yeah. That can definitely be improved. So much time spent running back and forth because you can only hold 20 things.
Is this a asmr video?
Not really my kind of thing.
why do you make so long spaces in your speech?
It adds to the suspense and drama.
Guy has that Alec Baldwin thing going on.
I hope that's a good thing. 🤣🤣🤣
this video me learn new things thanks but you sound like depressed
I'm glad it helped. I'm actually quite an upbeat person!
1.25x speed strongly recommended for millenials
I'll never be that kind of guy! I'm very casual.
I often skip 5 sec when watching let's plays, or what you said, nice touch...
@@BeermanGamingHQ You may not be that guy, but from the first tip I thought, this is not scripted, that could make it more professional. And the intro, not needed, we come for the tips, we should know a little about the game already... My two cents, thanks for the tips my fellow beerman ;-)
