Yesterday, I had decided that I was going to order 3 copies of this CD, one for me and one for my cousin and another one for his friend. I was planning to go Shock and Awe them with Angelina Jordan's singing prowess, for they haven't discovered her yet. My cousin owns a few establishments and he hires a jazz band to entertain guests on the weekends at one of the establishments; and my cousin himself is a very good jazz singer. I couldn't wait for the CD to be delivered, so not thinking through, I drove down to the Barnes & Nobles to get them. When I couldn't find it at the Barnes & Noble, I seek out the manager and demanded to know why they didn't carry Angelina Jordan's CDs. The manager had never heard about Angelina Jordan and was somewhat baffled that I was upset about something she knew nothing about. I told the manager that they'd better order the CDs and put it on the shelf. I guess I'm going to have to just order it online now or directly from Angelina's channel.
How did she come about choosing this song? Does she have an extensive music library? No way a 12 year old could know about this song unless she was asked to, her mom, her dad, grandmother? I remember this song from the late 60's. She is so talented.
A lot of older people are going to listen to Angelina because of these older songs. But it's more than that. While I remember hearing most of the songs she sings, I never really cared for many them until she added her magic intangible to it.

I agree, she's my favorite female singer. She is a gift from God to a lost generation facing the onset of articficial reality. She is an antidote to the degredation of society in general. Music is an area where Divinity can show His hand. I say that because she is prophetic of a need for musicality.

Now I do like the Vinton original. But I have to say without hesitation, once again Angelina Jordan made a better version. She deepened the emotion this song contains. Very warm and deeply expressed singing.
I remember listening to this song many, many times when I was in my early 20s. It was released on his (Bobby Vinton) album "Roses are Red" in 1962. I love the song. Actually I loved just about every song on the album! I would have thought no one could ever sing it better than he did! BUT, as usual Angelina showed me I was wrong!! She does it much better!!!!

So good to have you back, Sandy. She is also my favorite female singer. And my favorite singer, period. This is such a simple, yet beautiful song. There's two things she does in this song that stand out to me: her wonderful vocal fry is prevalent throughout the performance; and when she goes from chest voice to head voice on the same note it's magical. This song brings back many memories for me, as it was a huge hit at the beginning of the U. S.'s involvement in the Vietnam war, and I loved Bobby's version then. But I like Angelina's even more. Again, great of have you back and reacting to Angelina. 😊💕 And I agree with Rusty. You can't go wrong reacting to the songs in this fabulous album ("It's Magic).

Commented elsewhere that Angelina's rendition of Stay made me guiltily reconsider Karen Carpenter as my all-time fave. Angelina this performance is not helping. Pure, utter magic. The vocal agility is something else. Downside is, I have worn this track out on my car CD. And before I forget. Angelina. I have asked this before. I never get goos bumps from this song, buy I get extra water in my eyes when she flpps to falsetto. It's so effortless and smooth, and so beautiful.

Sandy I'm happy for your new beautiful reaction, this song by Bobby Vinton, a classic song of 1962, and in which Angelina changed the text to "Miss" Lonely is incredibly sweet and melancholic and she manages to reproduce it perfectly, just like she always does. I am always amazed, for the unusual choices, for a little girl, of the songs that she obviously loves and of which she takes the risk of singing them, almost always even difficult songs, is truly magical.

Commented elsewhere that Angelina's rendition of Stay made me guiltily reconsider Karen Carpenter as my all-time fave. Angelina this performance is not helping. Pure, utter magic.
The vocal agility is something else. Downside is, I have worn this track out on my car CD.
