13 posterunek is a sitcom that shows Poles humour, complaints, hopes and points of view. and the best of it - the crew was immensely enjoying playing it and it shows. No political correctness, no censure and definitely no subjects that could not be touched. I guess the 90's were the years of finally getting freedom of speech in Poland, therefore the humour is so wild here. the sitcom is over 20 years old and is still wonderful !

@@user-gz3fd2mn8i racja. Ludzie wsumie dużo już o tym nie mówią, ale wielu ludzi było aresztowanych, brutalnie pobitych albo musiało uciekać za granicę, bo mieli odwagę skrytykować władze ludową. Oby te czasy nigdy już nie wróciły.

At 00:33 when he says open towards “different” people he says “odszczepieńców” which is more like “weirdos”. So the translation… well… it doesn’t do its job
This room they're in is a police station. The name of the show is "13th police station", one of the best comedy shows ever 😂 it has many many great iconic moments, you can react to them too!

Nah Im 2001 and I was growing up while watching it
That series was on air long time ago. Nowadays people see racism everywhere and sadly no such humorous tv series exist anymore. Race differences is not a problem. Accusing of racism is.
One of my favourite sitcoms ever! Not everyone know, that character of Cezary Cezary (played by Cezary Pazura) is inspired by Basil Fawlty, from Fawlty Towers!
I am positively surprised that you laughed throughout the whole thing! I did too 😂😂😂 this sitcom was meant to make fun of stereotypes that Poland is viewed by. One of them is racism and there's a slight touch of 'misogyny' (which seemed to unite all gentlemen against Kasia - the blonde - for a second).
When it comes to the translation, there are some inconsistencies. Truly, due to the bright remarks that are part of the Polish culture. Which makes them hard to translate. Some other mistakes that changed the intended meaning. But you gotta love the translator for their desire to share this sitcom with the world. Nowadays, this TV show would be slammed badly with comparison to the 90s where it was very popular and succesful. Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱❤
Two more episodes of this tv-show are great too. The one is when Japanese and French policemen came. French one's surename is Pierdzący which means in polish nothing else than Fart. With Japanese who drinks all the time sake got polish version of his surename: kwaśniewski. Nothig big untill you realise it's hinting at our back then president who ..yeah you guess that...drank WAY TOO MUCH xD So no correctness what so ever in any kind and sort xD other one is how they portrayed Hitler. As you see they made it in such art you can't help but laugh :)
I grew up watching this in the TV, I must say nowadays everything is so dull and humourless, everyone is scared of getting labelled "racist"... very sad times

Hahah he drove at white iceberg. It's actually a funny joke. I love you're one of people with sense of humor and without a victim mentality. 90s were a time when they would air a lot of weird sitcomes. There is another świat według kiepskich that makes fun of the Polish society.

I loved this show - very ironic, straight and really funny, but it's first time I saw anybody around the world look at it - it was short but even better.
This is a Polish series from the 90s. 30 years ago it was possible to express such humor. Today, due to political correctness, there is no chance to make a similar series.

That’s just a stereotype in US we just had Atlanta which had a lot of jokes at both White people and Black people expense. „It’s always Sunny in Philadelphia” is in its 17th season and has some of the most controversial humor available. Don’t let people brainwash you and look for yourself.
13 posterunek still remains as one of the best sitcoms ever made in Poland, if not the best...;) Most episodes look like this one. Nobody cared about any correctness;)

Some of the jokes are hard to translate so the other nations could understand, for example "Whites to Whitetower". "Whitetower" is literal translation for one of the polish cities. But this sitcom is a legend!

oh wow theres a lot going on in here.... edit annnd it is getting even sillier....
The subtitles are quite too literal translation.
The whole context and game words are missing.
For example:
"odszczepieńcy" - translated as different. Correct.
But later this (not so popular word) was changed into "szczepionka" - vaccine.
"Kolorowych jarmakow" - colourful markets. It's a super famous song...
That was maybe the first Polish sitcom in this style.
With lots of weird humor and game words.
Yeah to understand the "humour" you need to have a decent understanding of the language. Otherwise the jokes are lost in translation.

Go watch American jokes about Poles. They have thousands of them there. 3/4 of the world didn't care about us Slavs, and I guess they're right. We shouldn't have come out of the bushes 500 years ago, as we were probably the last ones.
