Seven years ago, Sophie embarked on a bold endeavor, acquiring this four-story historic Georgian home. What ensued was nothing short of a labor of love - in a mere 18 weeks, Sophie breathed new life into the home, adorning its halls with an exquisite tapestry of timeless patterns and prints. The result is an ensemble of spaces bathed in a muted palette, where every hue whispers tales of tranquility and warmth. The essence of Sophie's personality dances across each room-a playful interplay of dynamism and sophistication.
As the visionary force behind Côte de Folk, Sophie's design ethos is a symphony of rich layers, heritage nuances, and environments that beckon the soul. Her illustrious career as an Art Director and Fashion Stylist spanning over two decades served as a prelude to this chapter, where her passion for interiors found its truest expression.

The sealed pink plaster walls (genius) and the aubergine and lilac cabinets are only a few of the many, many things that I love about Sophie's home. Give me a smaller older home like this with a tasteful, eclectic, eccentric jumble of art, vintage items and daring color choices to an ostentatious McMansion any day. Every inch of this home and Sophie's impeccable taste speaks to me. Yay, Sophie.

I love this home! The desaturated colours are gorgeous. Traditional English homes are my favourite; print mixing is always done so effortlessly.

I really loved this home and it's owner. I've been renovating my home for years and second guessing myself throughout to the point I go long periods accomplishing nothing and something about her, her home and this episode just made me stop and think, I can do anything I want with my home and I'm the only one who needs to like it. I feel freed to carry on now.
I feel the same way. In America we are kinda trained to think about the next owner and will the next buyer like this or that and it has stopped me from doing a lot of what I want. We also worry about what other people will think about a beat up painting or a chipped piece of furniture. My husband is always so worried about everything being perfect and it's hard to live that way. I'm gonna start making changes today, starting with sanding my front door down to the natural wood then just sealing it or doing wax.

I follow this great show almost daily. In my opinion, this is one of those houses where the owner/designer has embraced the history and floor plan of the house and shows what you can get out of seemingly out-of-date spaces. Regardless of whether it is my taste, it has a very individual touch, which I really appreciate, especially that the designer is not one of those people who praises her things and design like a saleswoman.

I understand why you kept the unaltered plaster in your living room. I have a very similar color painted on the walls in my dining room and living room. It’s so soothing and changes with the sunlight throughout the day.

Such a beautifully calming and immensely personal home, and I really enjoyed listening to the owner explaining how it all evolved. I just feel rather embarrassed that I personally couldn’t live with such a small wardrobe!
And, totally understand what she said at the end about it’s easier to make decisions for clients but hard to make decisions for herself… I feel the same way… I am an extremely low-key interior, designer, but I have found this recently true!

I LOVE her dress. It's like a big wedding cake. So fun! And the house is so calm. I also LOVE the plastered walls. One of my very favourite textures and colours of any walls I've ever seen. It's what I would want in my home. Living by the sea is a luxury... all the negative ions are a blessing.

Soul domestics. Artist domestics. Lovely. This place is like a *pink, patina-ed chaise lounge - languid and sweet. -Like her, and wish she, and all her gentle smarts, would be a neighbor of mine. Her views to the ocean only add to the treasure and gentle vibrancy to all of this.

Oh my, what a lovely house. I like the build-in snook adjacent/across to the entryway from the stairs way. I like the dinning areas and its juxtaposition. Her kitchen is one of those to envision one to have. Her dress is beautiful organic design. Her home is magnificent a dreamy, comfortable, sophisticated and comfortable one of a kind for a down to Earth person, as her. 🙏

Oh yeah reorder the vases and say a prayer for all us families on tight budgets.my husband is self employed his main contract w the state was cancelled abruptly. Thank God he works two other part time jobs so we are hanging on. It is tough though. I'm disabled with MS so he's our sole provider. We just bought our home but he is looking for a job to replace that income and we have faith we will be in a better place soon.Just continue to save some money but don't let situations like mine make you feel guilty. Just pray for us. Love your channel.

I adore this home and homeowner. Perfectly pared down, with the most lovely blend of paint colors. Choosing to allow the natural color of the plaster to take stage was thoughtful and ingenious ❣️ I am obsessed with that Conrad wicker console, and I don't too easily get obsessed. Very well done.

What a beautiful home and such an artistic person. I just love this home so much and also love when you do the British homes. The kitchen cupboards in the brown were amazing and the wonderful sitting area beside the kitchen. I painted one of. my homes inside same pink colour and now seeing this home, miss it so.

Funny, I was just thinking how calming her home is, when she described her home as a safe, calm space. Also, I need to be near water; 37 years on the Atlantic Ocean on an island in Georgia (USA) and now I am on one of the many large lakes in Central Florida. Her choice of colors would work very well for me, but my landlord does not allow a change of color, as I am a renter.

First off loved the hair. Reminded me of Alison Moyet back in the day. Also love the lux lace of the dress and those buckle shoes are the bee's knees! 🐝. You've done very well to contain all your wardrobe in a dresser and armoire, esp for someone with a fashion history past! I have WAY TOO MANY CLOTHES! Loved that you have a few nautical themed things around but you didn't hit us over the head with the fact that you live by the ocean. We in the US have a terrible habit of doing that.
