If only Microcenters weren't so rare (with only 26 stores in the whole country), it definitely would've made the list
True; the closest for me is about 100 miles away. You lose so much in gas costs and time getting there and back. I think they would be a gold mine if they started on-line sales, but that's me.
Just went to Micro Center today. God I love that place.
I live next to two of them. One is about 10-15 minutes away depending on the traffic light lottery, and the other is about 30 mins away. I honestly couldn't imagine not having one nearby. That must suck.
theres 2 in my state, they are 150 miles and 169 miles away. thats a 6 hour drive round trip. The nearest Best Buy is 42 miles. Id love to go to micro center but i have to settle with best buy as it being closer
@@cosmicgrim7963 One good thing I can say about Best Buy is they have price match guarantee with any deals you find online. Sadly their selection is really poor these days and their staff usually knows less than you about computer parts. But I wouldn't drive 6 hours to go to MicroCenter either... 😅
My first pc came from computer world (long ago shut down) with a 256 mb (512 mb was top of the line at the time but cost $479 as opposed to 256mb being $78) graphics card, external stereo card, and a whopping 872mb hard drive. My how things have changed in the last 31 years.
Mine was from Comp USA......They had stores in Maryland back in the day
It would be awesome if you did a mini series on what to look out for when buying a pc or parts, and how it correlates to what kind of setup you can have like 2 graphic cards with independent monitors and more complex stuff like that
yes
SLI doesnt exist any more.
loving the Vibe, background Music made it dope, Much love to Meester!
Very helpful review mryeester - what a time saver! Gotta love Costco in my opinion. They have the friendliest employees as well!
I have seen in the past from Costco: A Razer bundle of keyboard, mouse, headset and XL desk pad. For monitors, there is a LG Ultragear 32" VA panel 165HZ 1440p Widescreen on sale for $225. And this sale price happens very often. I had to buy 2 off sale. Then went to Customer Service and talked to them about it. Being an Executive Member, I didn't need my receipt, they looked it up and gave me back the difference, $140.
Day 4# of asking to cool a cpu with a penny made before 1982
lol W
Why
man i know he'll see it
Not that bad of a idea. Pennies minted before 1982 are made of mostly copper unlike ones after 1982
@@bruhhguy80 Pennies made before 1982 are 95% copper and 5% zinc. Today they’re 95% zinc so in theory the older penny that’s almost entirely copper will cool down a cpu a lot more efficiently.
That 34” monitor from Costco is the one I got, and it has honestly been incredible. It’s not 4k, but it’s 1440 and the image is gorgeous, and it’s very responsive when you enable 165Hz refresh rate. For sub 300 bucks I have ZERO complaints.
The folding chair and table combo was the GOAT for LAN parties in the 90s.
I bought my first PC at best buy. It had a 950 Ti if memory serves and a really fast i7 for only 1000 bucks.
my first gaming build.. actually, assembly from other PC parts was i think around 1997? i remember switching parts out to other computer and the moment i was shaking and scared to press power on. the thouight i would fried the pc. it turn on and works except the graphic was limited. the color was in white black and purple. i went to the school and went to the school lab and ask the technician for help. he gave me a book and some free stuff like games. surirpsely he had tons of video games in the backroom. then i learn to find drivers for hardware and stuff. this is all without internet at the time. i learn things reading book, download drivers on floppy disk at school and bring it home.
the time i was messing with computer from 44mhz cpu to 233mhz to 400mhz. then the time i had first purchase a 933mhz computer with cd burner was felt so fast and smooth. now computer runs with ssd and multi core which is smoother but doesnt feel any faster in term of leap and bonds of monster power. i dont really get those feeling of speed anymore. it seem to hit the wall of speedyness.
Going to America soon, so I’m gonna get some yeester thermal paste ❤
yeester?
oh the youtuber
FuzeIce is cheaper and just as good.
I remember going to Costco during the gpu shortage and seeing pallets of dell xps with 3070s and kinda wanting it just for the gpu
Costco is underrated 🔥🔥
fr
I subscribed to your channel because of this video, it answered my question to my thought last night. What do these other box stores have to offer? I never entered it into any search(my question) it was just in thought. Came up on my feed. Thank you, I will be visiting your other content today.
I love how i am watching this video on the same monitor you bought at costco... LOL 🤣🤣
I love your videos man
This is the first video i watched from your channel with how fast you talk i thought i accidentally left 2x on lol
Just bought 5 set ups this video is super underrated
for the Gamestop pcs not all the shops carry them. easiest way to check is online to see if a store near you carries any of the computers or physical computer games that are listed online
or just save yourself the trouble and avoid going to gamestop and going to stores that are know to carry computer parts/accessories.
since i live in australia there aren't really that many stores but here are some stores, jb-hifi, harvey norman, good guys
I wish there was some kind of microcenter in Canada near me... I'd be going and looking at what to get every day...
i got a lenovo legion i5 with a 1660 and a 10750H from costco for 1400 a few years ago, its still going strong.
Dude I used to watch you all the time it took forever to find you again
I’d go with the Costco bundle. In addition to a better PC, you got a much better desk & chair which adds to the comfort level 👍
I bought my pc from walmart and my monitor. its very decent and good budget that i would recommend for like a first gaming pc
Some Best Buy locations will have gaming desks and chairs on display and that you can pick up same day, it definitely depends on the day and location. they only have Insignia and other lesser brands tho. In their defense, I would not leave Best Buy out of the final running because they can definitely provide all 5 categories on a good day and would love to see how they stack against Walmart & Costco in the video.
Surprised you didn't see any 1440p monitors at your Walmart. I just got a killer deal on a 32 inch 1440p LG monitor there for 209 before tax a month or so back.
I got my girl the cyberpower PC with the 6700 at Walmart for $700 (they had one at a different walmart for $800 which was odd) but it runs really nice for a starter PC.
Just bought the Dps chair from Costco about 2 weeks ago and I've honestly not had a chair as comfortable for this price in a long time I would put its comfortability right around secrets labs chair in all honesty, but I've only had it for 2 weeks, so we'll see how it holds up.
How do you like the chair?
@@Andy-vt7sl sitting in it right now lol still feels great no squeaks yet
@@Mystic355 thanks! I’ll look for it
Durability is 50% of a chairs cost. If the cushion doesn't go flat in a year or 2, that's a win. But 2 weeks is too early and frankly, product reviews are filled with ppl who review something too early (no offense)
@@The1Music2MyEars still holding up great so far :)
I got my PC from Best Buy as well as my monitor (samsung oddesy g6) got my Logitech G305 from Target, and I got my keyboard off of amazon for $170
I loved seeing BestBuy having Ryzen processors sitting out tho. I would be surprised if they had that in my area.
Not really a surprise every best buy I've been to in like the passed 4 years has loads of cpus and gpus...and you can easily build a solid pc just from best buy
This guy called us poor in every language
I like lookin at Costco because I go there monthly cuz I don’t have one where I live and I got a 120hz 1080p monitor for $60
Bought a I9 with a 3070ti and 3tb of drive space for 1500 last feb.... only issue was it has had several failures BUT ibuypower covered all the parts
Thay acer nitro is a nice monitor wondering how it compares to my m28u
I found that exact Ibuypower pc at costco for 50% off, best purchase of my life
Walmart does compete but you should do costco vs sams. Both warehouses
nowadays i think costco or sams club have their 2 prebuilt PCs offering 4060s btw
costco is killing it .
bro you in pittsburgh looks like mcknight funny thing is i built my first pc a few years ago with parts from that best buy they price match which was a plus
My friend just got that exact PC. He said it’s amazing.
This guy reached me about pcs a lot i want to say thank you.
I’m thinking about playing PC can someone tell me which PC that’s just the PC not any of the set up or anything is better when it comes to specs and stuff, I know nothing about PCs so I don’t know what I’d be getting myself into and I’m not going to be building it so I have to be a pre-built so basically which one is better Walmart or Costco
For the seat at bestbuy you could use a washing machine as a seat
Non-of the above. Though Cosco is going to give you the best rig for the money, I have two microcenter's w/in an hour of me. I'd recommend doing the homework and ordering a system from cyberpower or ibuypower or simply getting a Mini PC depending on your needs. This was a fun video to watch.
Bro I been wanting to play warzone on pc but don't have alot of money to build a pc, and I see lots of people wanting to know how to build the cheapest pc that will run warzone decent. That would make a cool video. Litterly what I was looking for when came across your short
Hi mr yeester what’s up
I daily use the costco desk and chair. Never complain
i actually just bought the cyberpower pc from walmart, prebuilt-- and plan on upgrading to another gpu very soon, processor as well -- after gpu, provided compatibility allows, tweaked out on my old pc and it sits in pieces to this day, wanted to start fresh and im not disappointed at all .. $850.xx total, worth it
Do you know if either of those PCs are more powerful then console?
@@iamjstew___4473 much more, simply for the fact that they're upgradable my friend. But if you just want to play and not mess with that stuff, console would be decent enough..id spring for a PC over console ANYDAY
Can you extreme overclock intel core 2 duo e8400
hey i use a folding table and chair too
This is hilarious, I spent about the same as you did and have a i5-14600K and 4070 lol, but key here is I built mine. Buying a 3060 desktop for anything above $750 at this point is just eh.
I have the same gaming chair from Costco
As a best buy employee , desks and gaming chairs are on the website of the store , but you will never find desks and chairs at a bestbuy store cause it’s taking too much space to install
I would go to Microcenter any day for that. I live about 2 hours away from one so there is no comparison there.
Costco is primarily online for furniture if you want to see everything they have.
Yes, Costco has gaming setups.
It kind of sucks that your best buy didn't have a chair or desk. The 2 in my city have several gaming chairs and the "gamer" style desks. It would more than likely would have been the most expensive, but would have been a beastly PC with all the parts that you get to choose.
You could shop around all 5 of these stores and put together something decent, or you could just go to Microcenter.
The iBuyPower slate mesh 6 was on sale $999 at Costco this past week or so. I picked it up
How is it?
It's a good computer. No problems so far.@@NevelaxYT
i have that costco desk
Would try to negotiate price down to msrp of all parts combined because you know they fkd something up you going t have to fix😂
Dude neverr heard of micro center. 😊😊😊 best computer spot for stuff.
There’s like only 8 in us
i found a 4070 build at walmart yesterday
What about mixing both store together to make an awesome PC and make it cheaper
The only advantage I think Costco has because you pay for a membership. You get an extended warranty almost free. If you buy the warranty at Walmart. It could end up being a more expensive purchase. That’s why I buy my OLED TV’s from Costco. They usually upgrade the warranty and if I had bought the same TV at Best Buy I would spend more money on warranties when Costco offers the same warranty and service for free in a sense. Yes there is a yearly membership fee at Costco. The membership fee end up paying for itself.
I got all my stuff from costco for me and my brother's setup, this is far superior.
if I had to walk into a store and walk out w a gaming setup it would definitely be micro center
Id pick amazon or newegg
What store sells PC in SouthAfrica
I've honestly been getting my tech from Walmart mostly for the past 2 to 3 years (convenience and I'm impatient). Their Onn brand gaming peripherals aren't bad at all. They also do have a 27 inch 1440p variant for $160. But I have the ONN 27 inch 1080p 165hz monitor. Upscaled to 1440p with DLSS but I got it for $130. Minimal ghosting, decent response times. Their mechanical rgb keyboard isn't bad either. Only thing I need Walmart to start selling locally is GPUS and Processors at this point lol
I would definitely say Best Buy is better than Walmart for sure you might spend a little bit more but they actually have a good name brand PC parts At pretty much the same price you're gonna get anywhere else......Walmart pre builts are a scam like most prebuilts
I would NEVER buy a pre built from Walmart. Overpriced and underwhelming in terms of performance for price. I agree best buy has a better selection and unfortunately there isn't a microcenter that isn't 100 miles or more away. I've always built my PCs piece by piece.
@@JamesFarris same no micro center in the bay area builtmy 1st build all from bestbuy and 2nd from Amazon......but as far as displays i think Amazon is easily the way to go the selection and prices are pretty much unbeatable...
@@JamesFarris not to mention Amazon has 2 prime days a year plus black Friday they give u plenty opportunities to get things below msrp
costco for sure
what was that Robot when you entered in to Costco???
Adam I saw you there but I didn't want to interrupt your video!
I don't have a computer but I will buy a copy of windows 11 on best buy and a curve monitor 😁
Next time i buy a monitor im going to Costco
Not every Walmart has those selections
I'm lucky to have 4 microcenter in a 20 mile radius.
I bet that 13600kf was on a B660 board which means no overclocking.
2:30 hey i have that PC
I would pick Costco as I'm a member, also if ya want you can factor in that check they send ya every year to make it even cheaper if your membership is already paid up.
wait what how ?
@@jayytee4977 What how what??When your an executive member (not surer if same for regular members) you get some of the money you spend back every year. We mostly use it for our membership because we spend a lot there and get back something like $200 to $300 a year.
Why would you compare prices of the last two when you bought a standing desk + gaming chair from costco and a folding table and chair from walmart? I know for a fact folding chairs are available at both stores and that would've easily knocked off $400.
I would always choose Costco over Walmart if those were my only two choices. In reality, I usually buy my PC stuff at Newegg.
I thought the plant behind you in the intro was your hair 😭
*Goes to Best Buy and doesn't choose the literal dozens of pre-built setups. Proceeds to make a four grand setup lol
Makes a guy miss Circuit City, and CompUSA
You are a very good CZcamsr.
use oreo cream as thermal paste
As a german, I can only dream of those prices you're getting in the USA... I just bought a USED 27" 165Hz 1440p 1 year old monitor for 220€ (240$) and over at Costco you can buy a NEW 31,5" 165Hz 1440p Monitor for only 179,99$. Hurts sooo much.
I remember my first store bought pc from walmart......An Emachine that struggled to play Doom
I'm fortunate enough to live near a microcenter so it's an easy decision for me lmao
id always go for the msi prebuilt over that shitty ibuypower 0:40
i wish my costco sold a samsung odyssey 💀💀
micro center!!
Why do you have a 2004 monitor in the back ?
Sir i have problem in my pc for last 2 week
i can't fix it😢
i try many think but 😢i Didn't find any solution
can you help me sir plz 😢
we are a specialists team what is the issue we might be a help
I be picking microcenter
😊
amaizing microphone sounds like 1995
It said PC setup not PC and desk... lol Still this was awesome!
