- The 12 fret 000-15SM is one of our store's most popular new instruments. The guitar features an all-solid South American Mahogany body, a 12 fret neck with slotted headstock, and long 25.4" scale. It's a very lightly built guitar, and has a warm and rich voice as a result. Lots of overtones, strong trebles, open mid range and bass.
Vintage looks, old style headstock logo, open-geared tuners, bone nut and saddle, ebony bridge pins, thin satin finish. Comfortable low oval neck carve, 1-3/4 nut, 2-1/4" string spread at the bridge.

I’m thinking of getting this Martin 000-15sm or the Martin 000-16 Streetmaster. I did buy the new Taylor ad22e with the V bracing. It is fantastic. Im 70 years old now and my avatar photo is me playing my 1937 Martin 0-17. I was 25 years old in 1980 my Martin I bought for $20 in 1970
My favorite guitar. Bought it a month ago and I've played it for a few hours every day since. It is a lightly built guitar and it really resonates especially in open tunings.
Imo you cannot beat this guitar for all it has and one can bring out for this price!!! I've played 10K boutique guitars that don't play as well as these and in some cases don't sound as good. Damn good guitar.

It isn't particularly complex arrangement, but neither is the song as simple as many would believe. Most people only know one verse of it, but there are several verses to it that give much more nuance to the lyrical story and the melody.

I owned 3 of these and the belly warped everytime… Id love to find an alternative that wont fall apart.
I actually ended up having Martin make me a sloped shoulder slotted headstock all mahogany glossed…. For $3k but its amazing and feels heavier. I hope it doesnt warp.

@@Sharakomusic Oh come on now!! You owned THREE Martin 0015SMs, and everyone of them suffered a belly warp? What....are you putting heavy gauge LaBella BASS strings on those guitars and tuning them up an octave and playing the thing for a week straight in a driving rain storm? And then.....you had the Martin Custom Shop make you one (after suffering the loss of three production models!), and according to the timeline of y our posts, it too warped...in the same month that you bought the guitar?! There is no way I believe a word you are saying.
@@kensettle3184 the custom is fine. The production models are total shit. Especially when you live on the lake in Michigan. I dont care if you dont believe me, you sound like you have bigger issues than what guitar you should buy. I hope you get a sm15 so you can see what I mean.
@@Sharakomusic Look....I have never, EVER heard of FOUR Martin guitars all suffering significant warping all at essentially the same time. According to your own time frame, The Custom Shop Martin also warped IN THE SAME MONTH that you bought it. Sorry....that is simply not believable.
