Jobs are mostly connections, too many people think hard work alone will get them there. You have to socialize and network well too. There is just too much competition in hard work alone!
Great video! I'd also add how important it is to build real relationships over the course of your internship, and continue to nurture them into the future. The people you meet during an internship can have an impact on your career in the short term and long term.
Terrible advise ..... every company is different , every intern ship is different just be yourself, do your best learn as much as you can and enjoy the experience .... interestingly enough, most company’s just want someone who can do the job (well) and get along with the team.

What's really infuriating is that if one is a contractor trying to make it into the company, the intern that's been there 2 months ends up getting the job. Explain that.

Or you know better yet go work for yourself and start an agency so you can authentically who you really are without the political nonsense.
