Correct. The magician DOES NOT need to touch the cards. It's just easier when the spectator is holding a drink/a bit tipsy. Makes for a more streamlined performance on camera. But in the real world, you can let them take the cards outta the box and count down to whatever number they say.

If that's the only outcome, the performer can't repeat the trick. Can the performer repeat the trick again? 4. If I purchase the kit, can I get other gimmicks other than the rise gimmick? What props do I get if I purchase the kit ?
He replied to the other comment that they can deal the cards and you don't have to touch it. I can't imagine it has to be the two since that was a totally clean choice in the video.
@@MagicAvi he’s released several ACAANs over the years, so the one in Attic Salt is the one he did during the Facebook interview years ago where it was done on video call with him in a different part of the world, spectators own deck of cards and no method other than “name a card, name a number. Deal down”? That’s the one that just isn’t possible but if he actually did release it I’m interested for sure. Not a big fan of limited releases but I’d pick up a copy of that in a heartbeat. Are we sure we are talking about the same acaan and not like the ones he’s released in his penguin lectures?
i love this but i do wonder why when asking the spectator to visualise so many aspects of a particular playing card that you do not use a regular deck to impact the realisation or there choice? they chose a red card but turn it over to reveal a black 2 of hearts. why do this ?
Telling the spectator to visualize something with a lot of detail is just part of the presentation of a lot of mentalism effects. And I don't understand what you mean by "black 2 of hearts". The 2 of hearts is a red card. Diamonds and hearts are red, spades and clubs are black. Either way, it is a great trick
@Daniel TheManiel I understand the importance of visualisation. I also know the the hearts and diamonds are red and spades and clubs are black... however Pete isn't using standard bicycle deck. I know the effect and I know the method. But the importance of making up a card identity from elements such as colour, suit, value to then show a black 2 of hearts strikes me as unusual. Just got the kit yesterday and I can confirm that there is nothing missing in this video (no pre-show at all). You can literally just walk up to a group of complete strangers and start performing this as shown in the video. This trick alone (and the other ideas that you can do with the gimmick) is worth the price of the kit. Had this been sold separately, I would’ve easily and gladly paid $150 (with one very minor change).
With the method you are talking about, it is the magician by taking the cards out of the deck that counts the cards. Here there is no movement of this kind.

No, Pete recently talked about it elsewhere. It’s not an MO situation. This is the only scenario.
Do have to memorize a stack deck and remember what to say based on the card they selected so that way they could deal the cards exactly to that card?

It's hard to answer this without giving you the method - but there is no psych force, nor is it literally any card.

No, the spectator can take the cards out of the box. It's totally different.
Asi's is way different than this - his has deck memorization at a minimum plus other techniques
