Family holiday fishing in Ibiza - The School Of Fish

Fishing on a family holiday can be a great little bonus. It's likely to be warm and you'll probably see a few different fish swimming around. Just because you're on holiday though, don't expect to catch loads of monsters. Sometimes the fishing can be plentiful but small. That said, pack the right equipment and they will provide some excellent sport. Do be aware of local fishing rules though as some beaches and marinas can be out of bounds. Put on a pair of trainers and go for an explore, you'll soon find something you've probably never seen before. And don't forget the sun cream!

I can remeber probably 15 or so years ago being in Ibiza and those silver fish where in close to the beach by the hotel. I used to take sweetcorn from the restaurant and they would take it from my hand.

Great memories! Thank goodness Chris Yates discovered sweet corn as a fishing bait all those years ago.
