- THE LEGEND OF TOSCANO
As fact is often more mysterious than fiction, Toscano cigar was first produced and given its name by pure accident almost two centuries ago. Its history is by now legend. Florence, 1815: At a tobacco factory belonging to Ferdinand III (then the Grand Duke of Tuscany), a bale of Kentucky tobacco leaves which had been drying in the open were caught in an unexpected downpour of rain.
The wet tobacco started to ferment. Instead of throwing all the tobacco into River Arno, the fermented leaves were dried and made into inexpensive cigars to offer to the people of Florence. A simple band is put around each cigar, which today is still one of Toscano's characteristics.
Its uniquely "new" flavor and rich aroma became an instant success with the Italian people, and soon garnered much popularity amongst some of its prestigious smokers such as King Vittorio Emanuele II, Garibaldi, Verdi, Puccini, Mascagni. And finally found its way between the fingers of notable artists such Renzo Piano, Mario Soldati, Marcello Mastroianni, Francis Ford Coppola and Sergio Leone, who made it famous through Clint Eastwood in some of his unforgettable Spaghetti Westerns.

I'm Italian. It's a big honour to me you have reviewed this cigar.Toscano isn't as popular as Cubans and it may hasn't the same quality, but it's a unique product.
P.S.sorry for bad english...and keep reviewing cigars, great channel!
Thank you my friend the honor is main !
I smoked this cigar for the first time about a month ago and now it’s my #1 go to! I absolutely love this cigar
I just smoked a half antico now. Im " novice. " I enjoyed it but it kicked me hard lol. It cost me 30 usd for a 5 pack in Durban, South Africa. Only 1 tobacconist stocks it in my city. Excellent and Accurate review brother Ali. Shukran.
I’m Italian and it’s a pleasure to see you reviewing this all time favourite italian cigar. For me, the best. I hope you have the possibility to try Antica Riserva, Extravecchio, 1492 and Originale also. Thank you Mr Alì!
Thank you my friend thats kind of you i will try to get it!
When you cut in 2 part, its called "ammezzato".
Thank you !
Hi Ali, compliments for your channel, i subscribed. I'm Italian, travelled a lot and lived abroad in a few countries for many years, tried all cigars but at the end of the day i prefer Italian toscano cigars(especially TOSCANO ANTICA RISERVA (not the antico you review here which is still good). I don't know if it's my heritage, my taste, my last name(eheh that real, yes my last name is Toscani). my dad worked in the administration of the Italian Tobacco Company for almost 20 years and he smokes toscano too eheh. now toscani are privately owned but the quality is the same. I still love the good cubans and other cigars from other countries but toscani have a completely different taste. for me they re a completely different smoke. so they cannot really compare to other cigars. i can compare cubans to hondurean or dominican but toscanos shouldnt even be compared( you like them or not) eheh and i guess you know why after you have tasted them. they re so different and they are so GOOD
My son got me a pack of 5 from his trip to Rome.very strong creamy flavour .hard to keep lit if you smoke as a one instead of halving it .
We Italian people are really proud that you tried these cigars.
Thanks for your review, you'll always welcome in our country

Estella McKnight Thank you brother !
Great review mate. I love this cigar, I was recommended it yesterday; cut it in half to make an ammezetto. Such strong earthy, pepper notes.
Glad you enjoyed it
@@allami65 Love your channel and reviews mate. Best wishes.
Its not ammezzetto but Is ammezzato
@@alessandrogobbo1128 Thanks mate! :)
Toscanos are great cigars. I'm italian and I use to smoke it. I can see that it gives you the same reaction as me, your nose is watering :D They are very very nice cigars, try an Originale and you will be amazed ;)
A tip from a toscano smoker. It even gets better if you keep toscanos in a humidor in around 65% RH. It makes it a bit milder and the aromas are coming out better. Especially the "heavier" toscanos" like antico....
Nice job mister....
Greco Maskara Thank you bro i will try that !
+Ali Al-Lami (Big Smoke Cigar Kuwait) ..antico can be smoked whole...with a different evolution...
the smoke without cut is called maremmana
Smoking one whilst i watch this review. I get a strong woody taste.... I want to say cedar maybe? A undertone of coffee like bitterness and a pepper. Good smoke for the money if you ask me... I love Toscano's! Dont be afraid to give em a try gents! Great smoke to split with a friend too!
Thank you !
@@allami65 Thank you Ali! I enjoyed your review! Earned a sub for sure man!

Is it necessary to keep them in humidor?
If its not wich one is better? in or out of humi? Thank u mr ali♥️
No need
After watching this video I really want to smoke a cigar!
عندي توسكانيلو كافيه .. سيقاري اليومي المفضل ❤
حلو بس انا افضل الانتيكو !
I'm not a big fan of italian cigars because to me they are so strong and the leaves inside are all cut into small pieces like a sigarette would be, the label cames out only because usually they are dried way too much...i fall in love with Nicaragua's
Toscani have no evolution when it comes to taste also because italians like to cut cigars in shorts what a nightmare for me...maybe the only italian i would try is the Nostrano del Brenta from Veneto region
je viens de revenir de rome
j'ai fumée des toscanos
j'ai aimée
bravo si ALI AL-LAMI

Great review! I know Toscano's are very unique but how do you think they compare to Cubans? For the price and the taste, I think they are just as enjoyable.
