I believe it's best to judge bands based on their current performances, leaving history out of the equation. The judging criteria should include execution, complexity, and creativity, with each area being worth a point.
I can respect that. History & established style can def add some unfairness cuz then we start crowning overachievers and not objectively better performers💯
52:04 I noticed the boatload of tenors seconds before you said it😂
Yeah nah they got the damn army💀💀
Been waiting for this one. Gonna watch it tonight.
Loving the content so far. Just a suggestion: You might want to experiment with posting your videos in the evening. A lot of people, including myself, tend to watch music and entertainment content after work or school. I think you could see higher engagement if you post around that time. Keep up the great work!"
I appreciate it💯Gonna keep that in mind, probably just was rushing to get it out for everybody🙏🏾appreciate the support man
Great musical breakdown. I think Memphis stick with alot imperfect cadence. I believe the next step or growth are more progressive endings and some perfect cadence . That Say Yes could have used a picardy cadence. Good review tho brother ...keep up the great musical breakdown
Ppreciate that man💯And thank for sharing the actual concepts that they’re using, I have the ear for it and know some music theory but some of the terminology is beyond me🫡
Jackson’s version of “Like That” is MUCH better than both of these arrangements.
I slightly agree, I just think Jackson played the piss out of it💀💀
ntm on Jackson State because last season Txsu got they ass beat especially WTF yall was playing during the 5th quarter
Aye man…I can’t even say nun bout that💀and trust me after the summer circuit I’ll be getting into that battle, several others, and doing some more Fall band content on the channel👀
@@Cr4nkCentral hmm so don’t compare the Boom with summer band because the Boom had got more exposure than any SWAC
@@ReZi1ient_ the only comparison was in the Mellos (some of which, given many of MAAB’s bandsmen, are from J State) and their style of playing some phrases, which I’m sure you can agree with. Them Boom niggas good baw, I know that, the stylistic comparison is there tho
@@Cr4nkCentral because the founder of MAAB is the asst director for the BOOM so course he write some of the boom songs
@@ReZi1ient_ that’s correct as well, I’m sure some of it is written in
