I think the quality of paint apps on Figmas has remained relatively consistent over the years; the problem is that the _price_ of Figmas has been steadily increasing. You'd think a higher price tag would mean stronger quality control, but that doesn't seem to be the case....
Also these figures aren't made by Max Factory so that might be a factor as well.
I noticed this a few weeks back when i came back to thinking of buying some of them. My Figma Collection only consists of the 3 NGE Girls and the first 2 Kusanagis which i all bought relatively cheap. Now i thought of buying the rerelease of one of the Tomytec girls and was quite shocked how expensive they have become.

Hey! It's been a while! Cool to see figma reviews from you again! As for me, I've only opened and displayed Mio, but I still need to find shelf space for Ena and Maria, so I do not remember how the two other's paint jobs look, but Mio's looks immaculate!... except for her stompers, they look like aqua colored blobs.
Figma paint apps have been on the decline recently, IMO. If you've seen the recent Guts Berserk Armor reissue, the blood paint apps on his sword are AWFUL. I've also heard the Konosuba figures also have issues with their paint.
I've got only one figma - god herself Suzumiya Haruhi from the movie 😁 she looks awesome
tomytech weapons are great for 1/144 scale gundam
I have a few of these kind of weapons..its too small even for a hg gunpla.

Takara Tomy does not just make railroads,they make the figures like masterpiece Optimus prime,studio series Megatron,siege soundwave and etc. Also bandai's enemy

I bought figma Shibuya Rin and then buy the M4A1 kit and the tactical hands. It cost me $45 for the figma and about $25 for the M4A1 and tactical hands.

If you want to retain the customizability (is that even a word?) of the rifles/guns, use a sticky tack to stick them instead of a glue.
@@deadlypedestrian I recommend using black tack because it can sorta blends with the gun color. But if you still insist, maybe thickening the connection works if you want it interchangeable.

when they make a Girls' Frontline figma series i will personally make myself a paypal account and buy you a set of the main characters' team for you to review them
The most disappointing thing for me was ena's skirt. On the prototype pics there are clearly defined pleats and folds but on the actual product all of that detail was lost. Also her face is a bit derpish and her hands have a really hard time gripping the guns

I love this line, I love the anime girl with guns look what can I say. Have them set up as a Fireteam on my shelf. And am building a display with gun racks and stuff.
That said I find that the quality of the figmas aren't up to the usual figma par. Don't know why, but it might be because they're 'SP' figma. I find SP tend to be below the usual quality of non 'SP' figma.
The paint apps are just a reflection of the character designs. They're wearing bland schoolgirl outfits & drab military camoflouge. There's no justification for any brightness or gloss. This is just how those illustrations look when translated into action figures.
I was going to pick one or two up but in the end passed on it. They cost to much for what you get and the extra guns cost to much. They also have a heavily armed series that seems to be a very value.

I have Mío since the first release like 2 or 3 years ago, I don’t remember well, and the paint job is excellent, but do you have any issues with the skirt joint? Mine is a little loose, sometimes the legs just fell off
I had this issue as well, until I ran the skirt's connection point under some hot water from the tap. Seems to have fixed it (I've posed her quite a few times since then).

Paint quality really varies between figure and copy honestly. You can get two of the same figure and one copy can look great and the other may be garbo

Figmas became too expensive for it's own right nowadays. For a figure that costs over 7000y at average nowadays, newer Figmas doesn't stand much against other Figmas that has similar sculpt quality from back then and only slightly less accessories. Did GSC jacks up the price out of greed or Masaki Apsy asks for more money for equally as much effort done as from back then? Or did they just screw up with the licensing that they had to jack up the price to break even?
