  • This physics video tutorial focuses on topics related to magnetism such as magnetic fields & force. It explains how to use the right hand rule to determine the direction of the magnetic force on a moving charge particle and how to use ampere's law to derive the formula of a solenoid. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems.

You explain it so well, that is almost impossible to not understand it afterwards. I can’t thank you enough for all your indirect help from your videos. you're my hero. cramming for an exam i haven't had a chance to study for because of work. is there somewhere we can donate to you? you got me through physics 1, you cover things in an hour that my prof takes 4 hours to do and you're so much more understandable. love your videos so much, thank you for all you do!!

I thought I understood this pretty well, until I confused myself by looking through the bewildering array of right and left hand rules here on the internet. Your video regrounded my understanding, thank you. Those other rules, with variable assignment of fingers and hands depending on the circumstance, were just too confusing.
