    The ocean platter and salad looked appetising and the underwater photography of you both swimming with dolphins was out of this world.. Your expertise with the go pros are improving to a high level.. You're both a good example for tourists to visit Australia, well done.. 🇭🇲🇬🇧🇭🇲🇬🇧👍👍👍

    Loved this episode, up there with the best. The footage of swimming with the dolphins was epic. How good was your sea food feast! Classic character in the castle. Totally get the pride and possessiveness the residents have of their island, sadly too many of our awesome places have not been respected by tourists.

    G’Day Sarah and Keelan. My partner and I have been watching your episodes for a while now. Great work and great watching! This episode of KI is above and beyond! The footage of swimming with the dolphins was WOW! And a great white. You’ve got some balls mate! Love your jetty jumping and surfing on previous episodes. I’m a sheep shearer and my partner is a wool Classer. We have worked on KI and know how possessive they are of their Island 🙂. You guys do so well in interacting with everything that confronts you. We have six more weeks until our Urban Extreme family van arrives and joining the Urban family. We have been working around Aussie with our existing caravan for a few years now but about to take it to the next level. Just wanted to give you guys a big thumbs up!!

We have had 3 close encounters with Great whites now on our trip and also one with a big tiger shark up near Exmouth! Sounds like you know exactly what we touched on in the video! We are at the point now where we arnt scared to say what we believe in and if we don’t agree with something just say it!

Rather than starting at the open end, you use the hose to push the point end through the squid tube open end. Hope that makes sense

    I live on KI, Emu Bay beach is really beautiful, you captured some really nice footage, that was a super curious pod of dolphins. Not sure what time of year you went, looked like summer - but along that beach hooded plovers nest, the young chicks tend to get run over by vehicles because they are difficult to see in the sand - they do have signs as you go in, so maybe that’s why the locals were looking a bit sad - Unfortunately it’s a no win situation for the endangered hooded plovers, Emu Bay is like a sacrificial beach on the island for tourists. I’ve been swimming there and seen chicks squashed into the sand by people and their vehicles who are oblivious to their presence.

    Years ago someone tried Marron farming on KI. Some escaped into the rivers on the Western end and flourished. Marron are treated like Carp in SA. No bag limits, no size limits, no closed season and no restrictions on how you catch them. Only regulation is that any you catch can't be returned to the water (just like carp). Ask your mates around Parndana for the good oil on the secret spots.

    Guys, I need to comment on the 'rubbish' situation. We went to Fraser Island in March, and we follow the same rule (pick up other peoples rubbish), BUT on Fraser we noticed heaps of white 'pieces' of paper that were all over our new camp... needless to say that it was toilet paper and there was no way that we could pick up at least 100 littered over the area. This isn't the first time and the rangers never once visited us (like they normally do), and this is now becoming the new normal.
    I won't go back to Fraser now, as it is just becoming a very over crowded place to go and trash the island. I think a piece on you tube showing campsites that you go to that are unhygienic and left disgusting may just show these people how this beautiful land is being treated in free camps (and in places like Fraser, Moreton, Bribie), and an easy was to change this, would be to make chemical toilets mandatory (no chemical toilet-you can't camp there). Just a simple 'rule' would mean that if a ranger sees no chemical toilet, or even toilet paper thrown on the ground, then he can move them on, and issue a fine. I am sorry to have gone on, but I have been camping for a very long time, and this situation is only getting worse, and you two are in a position to see things that are wrong/disgusting/unhygienic and attempt to influence a change... something to ponder on.

We Are heading that way so can't wait to firstly see Fraser and hopefully its in a bit better nick than what you gave seen it in! thanks for the comment! WA has brought them rules in regarding chem toilets. a lot of people just bring them to pass the ranger inspection and shit in the bush anyway! damed if you do and dammed if you don't

      Are you not reading my comments? If you shoot down a drone you just drive down to JBhifi and buy a new one. You shoot down a plane people DIE! totally different things. Drones do not hold the same value as lives... wow

    • @RollsFPV
      @RollsFPV Před 2 lety

      @@SarahandKeelanTravels i understand your point of view but what if when shot down it falls on someone, and drones are not exactly cheap especially commercial ones you can pay upwards of 30k for a basic commercial drone. In any case its irrelevant the law states its the same as shooting down a manned aircraft.

    Just curious, how do you find travelling now in Australia given that no acknowledgment of our constitution is given in terms of freedom of movement? Genuinely interested to hear your views, particularly around job mandates, coercion of the injection, border crossings, entering businesses, discrimination. Can you let us know how that affects your travels state to state.
    Cheers, viewer

    • @SarahandKeelanTravels
      @SarahandKeelanTravels  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Robo, to be completely honest, we have been in relatively un-effected by no acknowledgement of freedom movement from state to state, Mid Covid, it did become more monotonous however in terms of discrimination of vaccination we have been required double jab to do most things including enter venues and travel from state to state! In general terms of discrimination, we have experienced some. Firstly we respect anyone and everyone from any walk of life, age, beliefs or culture! However from time to time we do receive extreme hostility on the road from retired/ older generation. Some we have spoken to don’t believe we deserve to be on the road travelling because we havnt worked our whole life and we haven’t completed the right of passage. That’s about it though! 99.9% of people are lovely and accepting of us!
