I believe the only LHW boxer who can beat Beterbiev is Dmitry Bivol. In a boxing match, anything can happen. If Beterbiev can't stop Bivol, Dmitry Bivol will win by a landslide victory. We know Bivol is a very good defensive boxer.

I’ve trolled on Yarde for this one but seriously, respect to the man for taking this fight. He’s done what too few fighters do in modern boxing and has taken a dangerous fight long before he’s ready to cash himself out.
No one really expects him to win against Beterbiev and when he does, my my he will be an absolute hero. It's clearly a win-win for Yarde. It's a step-up in his career no matter the outcome.
@@juliuscee4633 There is NO CHANCE Yarde is winning, this is a massive mismatch. Beterbiev is immensely better at everything that Yarde does. Yarde is getting beaten up hurt bad and stopped. There are levels to boxing Yarde is C/D level.

I'd really like Anthony Yarde to win this fight, but I'll be straight up honest by saying that he's never ever come across a fighter like this before in his short career.
He is going to be in a war for his life.
His heart will be tested
His endurance will be tested
His power will be tested
His will and determination will be tested
His ability to fight under intense pressure will be tested His ability to fight in retreat will be tested
His jaw will be tested
His body will be tested
His resolve will be tested and his pride will be tested
His pain levels will be tested to the limit and as he readily admits he has extremely limited fighting experience when compared to Beterbiev.
He's never had to get up off the floor after being put down to fight on...let alone fight on to win.
He's never had his face and body battered and beaten up and raised his hands in victory before...Artur Beterbiev has already been thoroughly tested in all these departments and come through triumphant.
If Anthony Yarde can pass most if not all these tests against Beterbiev then he can become the unified light heavyweight world champion.
We will see how he copes with the examination on January 28th👍🏾.

Beterbiev has the power that scares every boxer. Jean Pascal trained with Beterbiev and was put aside several weeks for injuries. And Jean had no issues fighting Froch. As a matter of fact it has always been hard to find training partners for Arthur. The truth is that the power of this Russian is exceptional. Beterbiev is a bigger GGG (however GGG has the best chin I’ve ever seen).To me, the only way someone could win the fight against Beterbiev is to do what Usyk did - stay away as much as possible from the Russian. However , even Usyk , in only 3 rounds , was knocked down .
Scary thing in this interview Beterbiev looks calm, relaxed…like a killer. ( ‘’I WILL TRY TO BE FAST on JANUARY 28, BELIEVE ME) Yarde seems intimidated .

I think this fight will be interesting. Beterbiev's work rate and power against Yarde's sharp and excellent punch selection. It comes down to conditioning and whether Yarde can match or outpace Beterbiev. If Yarde has the conditioning, I think he wins. Beterbiev hasn't fought anyone as sharp and mean as Yarde but Yarde hasn't seen such a pace and fearlessness like Beterbiev's since Kovalev.

They say sometimes size matters and Yarde does look biggher but for some reason I'm leaning towards the one with the bigger head since Arthur hits so hard Yarde might not be able to take his punch while Arthur's big head might be able to take Yarde's ....

Jesus, Yarde looks so big, as if he has an aeroplane under his shirt with shoulders that wide. But we all know that artier will 'be ready'. Artur is a force of nature and certainly one of my favourite boxers atm, if not my #1, with Inoue and Usyk.

Going to be very interesting to see if yarde stays with tunde after this fight. I believe Tunde has done a great job with yarde but he can only take him so far. I think the match making over the years hasn't been the best and the kovalev fight was way too soon. If he wants to be a world champion he will have to get a world class trainer in his corner in my opinion. I will be surprised if this fight goes past 7. Bertibiev to win by K.O!

Beterbiev is old at 37 but the man is very dangerous. This isn't a well past his prime Kovalev step up for Yarde. This is a massive leap into top level boxing. I can see Yarde getting hurt early and this being an absolute mismatch.
People need to stop saying they "came from nothing". Its not true and a disrespect to his source of strength and upbringing.

Yarde losing to Arthur set this fight up because of the almost year long delay to the rematch , had Yarde won the first fight against Arthur he would have fought Joe Smith Jnr who he would have had a much better chance against. When you look at the fights Yarde has had since Kovalev it is difficult to see how he became mandatory and in Beterbiev he has beitten off far more than he can chew.
Beterbiev is everything Mike Tyson could've been. That's how good he is. Only thing that beats him is adamantium.
My Computer program says that Beterbiev has a 75% chance of stopping Yarde inside of 6 rounds, Yarde has a 15% chance of stopping Beterbiev but has to be early (within 4 rounds), a 5 % chance the fight goes the distance with a 90% chance that Beterbiev wins a decision. Check it out!

division might be poor-ish, outside of beterbiev and bivol -- but beterbiev's power is nuts. he basically wears people down while he's not even sitting down on his punches yet, then revs his own motor up while they're already starting to fall apart. sometimes he doesn't need to even move into full gear because he can actually knock challengers out with arm punches, which is fucking nuts.
bivol also is special. he basically knows how to keep to a game plan that doesn't waste any energy and doesn't make any mistakes to create opportunities for his opponent.
but outside of the two of them fighting... there isn't a whole lot else to put together at light heavy right now.

Beterbiev will KO Yarde inside of four rounds.
Here is why. Yarde's camp seem to think that him coming close against Kovalev is a big accomplishment. This is the same washed up Kovalev that was losing every other fight or so for the past 2 years and then would go on to lose to the cherry picker himself, Canelo Alvarez. Does anyone think Canelo could beat Beterbiev? Canelo would absolutely get destroyed. You can say I was right later because that's all you'll have to say if you choose to say anything at all.

Yarde hunts as he mentioned, that’s his style which he couldn’t apply against Kovalev who outboxed him and didn’t manage to apply in the first encounter with Lyndon Arthur. He is really brave to take this fight and being so powerful he has a puncher’s chance but just like the Kovalev fight I think it is too early.
I never thought I’d see the day when hearing someone looks like a bodybuilder would get a giggle out of me!! Don’t think Yarde and Tunde appreciated that…

I personally think Beterbiev is the best LH but stylistically this is a closer fight. Yarde has the speed and skills but does he have the experience and the defence? 🤔 we will see but I don't think he is good enough. Counter punchers tend to beat pressure but we have seen Beterbiev cuts off the ring so good and keeps his opponent under pressure for all the time in every round. I just look forward to seeing them fight. Not gonna call a winner but should be a good fight!
