- The rains of July 26, 2005, in Mumbai have become a benchmark of rain in urban areas. The city recorded a rainfall of 944 mm in 24 hours. The city came to a standstill due to rains and the lifeline of Mumbai local trains was stranded. Rains caused waterlogging in the low-lying area. On the anniversary of the deluge, Mumbaikars remembered the condition of the city and their helplessness.

I was just 1 year old when the floods happened. I was with my parents, and we were living in kind of higher area in Kurla , after sometime my parents got to know how worst the situation is... There was a power cut for 3 days.
I was 10 year old when this happened, I still remember everything mere papa to almost 80km chal kar ghar aaye they.
