Wow. I’m literally beginning to see in front of my very eyes the transition in advanced technology for electric scooters to potentially perform more and more like mopeds and motorcycles as time goes on into the future.

but why? just make a fast moped or motorcycle. seems like a waste of time . like one wheel then euc came along and there no point to a one wheel. i feel the same about the scooters.
@@heyby8764 I have a 43 mph Nami Burn E scooter - I never ride it that fast because it's simply not safe. And for perspective? I was a hardcore knee dragging canyon racer for 30 years and have done over 170mph on a motorcycle more than a few times....
@@heyby8764 I took delivery of my first electric scooter 7 weeks ago and I have never looked back. It is so easy to just hop on an electric scooter and get going. Everybody wants to ride it and people are asking for tips on what to look for should they decide to buy one.
Mopeds and motorcycles are gas powered and noisy. Even if you are refering to electric versions of either of those vehicles, they still have a lot more mass/bulk than an electric scooter. I go shopping, visit friends, go to the neighborhood pool and tennis courts and can get it all done on a tiny foldable electric scooter. I used to do all of this in my gas powered SUV and now it sits idly for all of these destinations.
Electric scooters are fulfilling the paradigm shift that Dean Kamen, inventor of the Segway, predicted would happen. We don't need the mass of 4000 lb vehicles when a 70 lb scooter will do so much of it. Hope this helps. :-)

I had an accident on a Dualtron 3 scooter (Power: 1600W (peak power - 3600W). My head was smashed, my eye socket was broken. Hands and feet are stripped to the bone. I was in a terrible state and hardly walked. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks. Now for me, a scooter is everything up to 350 watts, everything more is my own death on wheels.

If you keep upping the power surely you will need some sort of gearbox to go any faster, else your limit is traction
As a biker I can tell you you'll get buffeting at 100mph + and have you a steering damper?

it's beautiful looking and I like how it comes with a display front and center. I really like my Dark Knight standing scooter, but not having it's own display takes a little away from being world class. The Brembo brakes is what should be used on scooters with this kind of speed. Nutt brakes are not at that level. I have Brembo on my sports car, and there is nothing like them. Also having both batteries in the base of the unit, is perfect for center of gravity and looks amazing.

Brembo is overkill... you just need good motorcycle breaks. They put Brembo on them i see... no wonder it adds to the expensive price a bunch.

WEPED outdid themselves with this Sonic. It has to be the ultimate scooter. It's absolutely gorgeous the way it looks. The WEPED guys are geniuses when it comes to design. I'll bet that thing rides like a dream. I'No doubt iit costs about $15,000, but I'm sure it will be worth it. It's more than just a scooter and more like a stand-up motorcycle. Whatever, it's unique and awesome. Great respect to the WEPED team.

They have made this ... Because they can. However, these things will go faster than any person should go on a small motorcycle. In reality, 40 mph is plenty for these things. What I am amazed is the technology they have used to make the body and frame. No tubing@!! all flat metal plates! amazing. They should sell the kit like legos..

the newer models keep getting less and less portable. I own an FF, and it was just the swee-tspot between power and portability.
FF is portable and has excellent performance. Sonic is a product with a different genre. It's scary.😊

Avec ça tout le monde trinque. À côté de ça vous avez les gens qui ont leur trottinette avec qu'ils ont qu'ils ont payé cher font très attention

Good to see they're still cobbled together and EVERYTHING is expected to stay together with LocTite RED. Bearrings should be pressed and NEVER HAMMERED otherwise you will create pits on the race. Still no oil shocks with adjustment, no steering damper, VESC or app control, zero 10x ignition key for 10,000+ USD??? The scooter is also designed in such a way that if you need to brake in an emergency It will tilt forward launching the user off because once more they installed air shocks with no dampening. Buyer BEWARE!!!
