Further examples: A label's official artist channel, maintained by the label, was nuked from orbit by youtube this week for "advocating illegal activities, self harm, harmful actions and repeated copyright violations".

I get the feeling a lot of these copyright claims, are more for blocking perceived criticism than actual ad revenue grinching.
Like, god forbid a movie is picked apart a bit for bad production, writing, acting, etc...
And the thing is for a lot of these movies it's really just free advertising. Some people like watching bad movies on purpose.
Honestly, I don't think that's it but good critical thinking on your part. A big media company like that wouldn't care about a creator of Swell's size (as awesome as she is). Also like the other reply suggests the Christmas rom-com industry is banking on the people who watch them because they are bad. They know they are Cliché, low budget, and slightly absurd but they are marked like that. Also they are low budget so they don't have the finances to go after small influencers like Swell. Also, the parent companies that produce movies like this such as Hallmark don't give a flip. They just at it for the money. Somebody could completely trash the movie and as long as they make bank they don't care.

You see I wanted to do the same thing but then the first add I got was laser way and I can't stand those ads. If I watch the whole add through they would start showing me more of them but I absolutely hate those ads, I had to skip. I might open the video again at some point just to watch the ad to give her money.

You should be able to dispute a claim no matter how much of a video is claimed. The fact that they knew that and later edited the parts they claimed is gross. Instead of monetizing certain videos without paying creators (a new update to the T&C), CZcams should work on fixing their broken copyright system so companies and other CZcamsrs can't abuse it.

Do they not realize CZcamsr reviews are free advertising? Even if the review seems negative, it really doesn’t matter, because tons of people enjoy bad movies. A few clips interspersed with commentary is not only fair use, but more likely to intrigue people into watching your damn film. The copyright system is so insanely abused on CZcams, it’s ridiculous
I feel like regardless of the writing of the scene, if a celebrity randomly shows up as themselves in a hallmark movie, I'd laugh

Its really sad that the copyright problem in CZcams is absolutely unsolvable. They need to keep media companies happy, due to advertising reasons, and the creators get the shaft unless they are gigantic AND even then they need to go to Twitter and make a big stink about it. The really fucked up part is that if advertisers leave CZcams creators will get shafted too, because Google will just drop CZcams. On a personal note, i been wanting to create content for years and don't do so mainly because of stuff like this, that I do not want to deal with.
The copyright claim would never fly in court -- criticism is a protected purpose! There's no "10 second" limit in the law. Too bad CZcams and the rightholders have written their own 'law' that's worse

Giiiiiiirl, I've just watched Love at the Christmas table (2012) and it was so so so bad I've loved it! This was the first Christmas movie that had a scene where you kind of feel like the male love interest is a stoker and the girl should definitely call the police. It definitely aged very bad.

When copyright shit like this happens, and I've already watched the original video, I also become somewhat petty. In the sense that it the CZcamsr goes through the trouble to edit and reupload to spite these people, I will click on said video, mute it, open a new tab (while the video is still playing), and continue to do other things, then check back later to see if the video is done.
To anyone else who have also watched the original, this is what I suggest you do.
Whenever this happens to a creator I like I always just put the video in a different tab, mute it, and go do something else. They get the view and I don't have to watch the video again, win win.
