This song is for the Shawols, their voices are so WOW & yeah they have a lot of things who are for Jonghyun in it too, the radio, Onew who try to record J voice, 5 Apples, the number 5 on the ground,The space between them is for Jonghyun too (Minho have tag J on this free spot) they always pose for their photo with a space for him....., (their real comeback will be out the 26th) even in the promotion for their new song they've include Jonghyun in it, they always have some little thing in their MV for Jonghyun always.
SHINee's "The Feeling" is a special pre-release track as a gift to Shawols, produced by the members, for their 15th anniversary, which I am pretty sure will be included on their 8th full length album Hard, set to be released June 26. The song isn't really dedicated to Jonghyun, but rather a celebration of everything that makes them SHINee, which of course includes Jonghyun. And it's all about the journey they have taken and their connection to their fans. So that's exactly why you got the anthem feel when you heard it at their fanmeeting showcase. It's all about the celebration.
The MV was shot in Okinawa, Japan, and it was directed by the same director who directed Onew's "O (Circle)" MV, so you may have noticed that both MVs have a similar aesthetic and feel.
How I interpret the lyrics is that the song is all about how the members want to feel our light shine on them again and they want to illuminate us with their light again. They are also making a point to let us know that we will always be together shining in each other's lives. One of my favorite lines of the song is, “I’ll be the light you seek even in dreams. Running parallel and right next to you.” Which clearly shows the bond between SHINee and Shawols.
All the references in the MV have to do with SHINee's history over the past 15 years and what they have accomplished as a group and as solo artists, etc. For example, as you noticed, the map that Minho has is a map of SHINee's history up until now, including all their solo debuts. And the shot of the 5 apples falling on the No. 5 represents how they are always 5. I also interpret the "and..." at the beginning as their way of including Jonghyun and Shawols in on their journey, saying SHINee wouldn't be SHINee without either of them.
In the MV you see references to their solo journey, such as Onew searching for his sound, Key searching for his "taste" by taking a bite of the apples, Minho finding his way with the map as he explores where SHINee has been and where they will go in the future (Notice how the map starts out tiny, and at the end it has become huge -- every time they show the map it has grown 5 times larger -- representing how their map is constantly being expanded as they accomplish more and more in their careers and lives) and Taemin appears kind of lost as he searches for the right path.
I see the plastic bags represent their solo debuts, as well as their connection as a group. The first person we see is Taemin because he was the first one to debut solo and his official color is yellow, then we see and hear Key who is the next of the 4 to debut solo and he is represented by the pink bag because his official color is pink, then Onew is represented by the green bag because his official color is green and the blue bag represents Minho. You're right, most think Jonghyun is represented by the radio (FYI, his official color is red). In the end, what they were searching for, they find when they're together, which is represented by the big plastic bag floating in the sky, which is pearl aqua color, SHINee's official color. When the big bag explodes it releases all of the colors together, representing how they come together as a group, no longer individual bags.
Next we see Key smile as he bites into the apple, Minho looks away from the map, Taemin smiles as he looks into the sky and Onew smiles listening to his headphones. I interpret the meaning as Key found his taste, Onew discovered his sound, Minho found the place where he feels most comfortable as a member of SHINee, and Taemin is no longer lost. Then we see them all looking up at the sky, which, yes, we think is them looking up to heaven and acknowledging Jonghyun's presence as the sun that shines down on them. As you mentioned, we also see them happily running together, being free and living in the moment.
In the end, we see Minho complete the circle, which I see as representing the fact that his solo debut completed SHINee's legacy. At the end we see the five of them together, with Jonghyun represented by the radio, as the light shines on them. We see that when they are together they create a light, which shows that they are the brightest when they are together.

You see the map grow bigger in my opinion SW the map shows elements from debut to now and there are always 5 of them. You see them separately as if they are looking for what connects them and makes them happy then together they just frolic and make them happy us just by seeing them 5HINee

Since we are really close to the title track release, Onew most likely finished doing the album and Mv with them, they also released the Teaser photos and vid and he's in it. So i hope he was able to finish everything and if he didnt thats fine. He needs to rest and focus on his health(that's number 1 priority)

As a shawol I'm more happy and grateful then upset about this break for Onew❤. His health is the most important no matter how long I have to wait for his work with SHINee or solos. We are loyal and patience for all 5 of these amazing men💎

Thank you for the analysis. Honestly, when I first heard it, it gave me the idea that SM is getting ready to retire the group. I hope not, but with the way they tried to underplay their anniversary celebration (until the fans demanded better) it just had the feeling of that last climactic song in a musical. I still love it and love these guys. I wish the best for them. They are a legendary talent.
Their not retiring..this song was to celebrate 15 year anniversary, Shawols and Jonghyun. In the fan meet they made it clear Shinee will continue to make music for many more years.

Not a dedication to Jjong but it’s for us, every Shinee MV after his past have a symbolism of him but this song is for us Shawols… as u see the map has their names n their songs… 🎉 yeah I want a copy of that map too… the song is a gift for fan’s celebrating there 15 years together 🔥🫶🏽🥰🎊🎊🎉
Yeah but they did include a lot of symbolism to allude to the fact that Jonghyun will always be a part of them. That last shot of the setting sun shining down on them and the recorder being highlighted among them were the biggest clues.
