My favorite, was 'United Dairy Farmers', which was voted the best at one time. It was sold in their own stores, at first, then later in grocery stores.

@@BabbleTop There was one of the UDF stores about four blocks from our family home, in the '70s. I would often stop there for a Butterscotch milkshake those hot and humid SW Ohio summer days. One year tan orchard had a bumper crop of dutch apples. UDF bought them, and mixed them with their excellent vanilla ice cream. It was the best that I ever had. Sadly, once that batch was gone they were never able to get enough of those apples to make any more.
BTW, I stopped at Walmart today. They sell a box of four Totino's pizzas, but I didn't see any singles.
I've nevee gotten a chance to try ANY Ben and Jerry's flavors [if only they would have bigger container like the other brands], but the vanilla really does look and sound good. I've heard of Friendly's before, but I don't think I ever saw their ice cream in any grocery store near me. The three vanilla ice creams I like are Blue Bunny, Blue Belle, and Breyer's. What's your favorite Blue Bunny ice cream flavor, Babbletop? Unrelated, but ever since watching The Food That Built America, I've been itching for a Top 10 Things You Didn't Know About Domino's. I have two facts that can be put on the list: the 30 minutes or it's free policy was introduced in the 70s, and after the Noid was dropped [for reasons beyond Domino's control], there were a few other mascots for the Domino's chain. There was Donny Domino [a sunglasses wearing domino, a few of his ads are actually here on CZcams], Dottie Domino [Donnie's girlfriend], and then there was Bad Andy [interestingly, Domino's Pizza sales actually slipped a bit during the Bad Andy era]. Donny still remains, but only as a walkaround costume at some stores.

Breyers was a kid was hands down my favorite with the Hershey’s chocolate syrup mixed with it to make a milkshake consistency. It was like a drug but I tried Breyers recently and they added vegetable gum now which totally ruined the taste for me

To be honest, I never heard of, some of these ice cream companies, expressly, the very last company that this woman talks about. All of that said, vanilla ice cream, is the goat, most ice cream, that isn't chocolate or strawberry, will have a vanilla base.

How can you have Edys on this list with the others? It uses Invert Sugar which is just as bad as HFCS. Edys is trash.
