Yes, it’s faster and easier, but the quilts end up being so much stiffer than hand quilted. I restore vintage and antique quilts and complete quilt tops, all by hand.
Loved your story, Martha! Very similar to my story and love for antique tops made modern. I believe grandmothers might have had an alternative motive in their UFO’s. Maybe they wanted to get another generation quilting! 😉

I love HQ videos. I am using a Husqvarna Viking Platinum 16 with HQ conversion kit with Tru Stitch regulator. However I have not done anything but meander. Can I use any ruler (which I have been collecting). I. THINK my machine is low shank but not positive.

I had an antique guilt top, (red and white) I had to wash. I didn't have any backing and didn't know what color to pick. It was a lot whiter.

Yes I bought sit down Maualuga. Have no idea how to change stitch settings. I was working OT and health issues
