I have to be honest David terrified me in this movie lol. I’m so used to him as the love-able goofy doctor. He’s such an amazing actor like damn he can do anything
Actually, this is what he usually does. Before Doctor Who he’d pretty much always been a villain

I can't watch this movie, I do not do horror, torture or suspense well. But I am starting to feel validated in my opinion that, in each character he plays, he literally becomes that persona and David disappears. He certainly seems like an alien. At 2:50 in this video the director says after saying action you could see the muscles in his face change and his eyes darken over and he got a shark like look in his face. The crew all saw it to. This man is pure magic.
@halfkinrainbolt7041 Avoid "Secret Smile" too. That character crawled under my skin...in a very *bad* way.
I can't watch this, either, for exactly the same reasons! I actually tried watching Jessica Jones and had to stop after Kilgrave invites himself into a home and sends the children living there into the broom cupboard by saying that children should not be seen or heard. Even thinking about it gets me. Not going to try Secret Smile for the same reason, indeed. I've seen most of David's other work and love it. He's the only actor I have ever actively followed and try to catch everything he does.

the marketing was non existent and it bombed sadly. its a pretty good thriller tho and the acting is superb.

I agree,hes always been very slim,but he was younger and it suited him..but when you get older a few extra pounds looks better (although he is still gorgeous).
