Unfortunately like with a lot of field eventers, Pichardo (18.08m PB, #5 all-time) is relatively underrated given his 4 WC/Olympic Medals (2 Golds & 2 Silvers). Looking forward to hopefully a fantastic H2H between Pichardo, Zango and the youngster Hibbert in Budapest! With age & injuries seemingly having taken their toll on Christian Taylor, Will Claye & Donald Scott, the US could do with some new blood coming through in the event like Ju'Vaughan Harrison has in the HJ/LJ!
Why all cuban athletes want to leave the country???? Pichardo was very brilliant when he used to play for cuba , Jordan diaz is playing for Spain, Andy diaz represents Italy , Juan Miguel echevarría wanted to switch for Spain, only Mykel masso and Christian Napoles playing for cuba

Why only players from athletics backgrounds want to switch nationalities ( I mean long jumpers , high jumpers ,triple jumpers , hurdles,sprinters ) but the wrestlers and boxers never do that , for example Mijian Lopez won 4 back to back gold medal at Greco-Roman roman heavyweights , boxers never seem to do such why only athletes ??? Does that mean wrestlers and boxers get more fame and wealth compared to athletes???
@@cobra12353 I think it has to do with how the sports national association is organized maby the boxers and wrestlers don’t depend so much on Cuba as the Jumpers do, but that’s just assuming

So nobody gonna talk about how the announcer clowned Zango on his second attempt after he seemingly clipped his feet or something. That type of announcing is completely uncalled for in a international event.🤦🏽♂️

Didn't sound any way to me...He just said everything was good up until the landing, which was "elementary" but still managed to get out to 16.9. Standard sports commentary to have a slight cheeky humor.
Cuba did not give him a chance to compete as a decent athlete. Then defected to Portugal and now he's World Champ. Well done! Cuba is a burial ground for dignity, talent and effort.
