Thanks for your work. Great video,I love this format
Insightful review, Charlie! Really like you put this together. Great presentation 🔥
Absolutely great informative video. Thanks!
Great review. I plan to use my Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action 4, and HoverAir X1 as my travel BFF setup.
Sounds fantastic, i had the opportunity to work with hoverair and gave them the cold shoulder…… after seeing the reviews, kind of regretting 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks So Much - Ive Just Bought One - Brilliant
Battery anxiety❗ 🤣 I wondered why a RW Review video would be 27 minutes long so I had to watch. One of the best videos I've seen this year, er, in the last 12 months. Wow- you are ONE knowledgeable Guy With Camera! And such dry humor and wit. Well, okay, as in your review, there is a con... wishing guys who talk with their hands would quit shaking the device they are holding at the viewer. Put the thing on a stand in the frame and then shake your hand all you want. Please? The content you provide here, however, is so complete and well thought out! Thank you for sharing this.
You could try a third party ap on your phone, Moment for example, you get those codec’s. 👍
Just subscribed. My Pocket 3 should be delivered tomorrow.
I’m clueless with cameras and am a beginner. Where should I start learning?
BTW, like the vibe and humor.
What do you think about how the windcatcher you glued in front of the microphones works? I had the same on my pocket 2 camera, and it worked relatively well for wind noise filtering. I have not glued it on the pocket 3 camera yet, but will soon.
they work fine too a degree, you will lose the ability to use your case, but i have a video on how to go bare safely. you won’t be able to go biking and talk, the muffs do have a limit, but considering built in wind reduction doesn’t work well at all.
Great discourse as usual 👍Could you explain how you attached the Pocket3 to the top of the ZV1, was it a bracket? 🙏

Any plan to test the G9II?
The Pocket 1 and 2 were underwhelming. Bought the pocket 3 to cover wider focal lengths and ended up using it a lot more over my primary system for video. There are some annoyances like having to re-center it often but there are just so many outstanding features. I'm really surprised how well it handled night time filming as well.
Out of curiosity what are the channels you've grown?
Somehow I don‘t have this battery drain when it‘s turned off. I justed checked. I charged it 7 days ago and is still at 100%
the issue is totally random, in general, it is behaved
I mean at 16min 15 sec.?
Did you end up getting the pocket 3 insurance? I’m still waiting for that perfect expansion that has the mount on the correct side 😂
no insurance, and no more waiting for the perfect case, the one on this video will do, simply mount the gopro on bottom, and you can add some offsets to keep it balanced, I have this one: amzn.to/3Hcl0Pe
“I don’t identify as a woman”… 😆 😆
“(Windows) operating system is trash”… 😆 😆
Wears dressing gown on camera 😆 😆
This bloke is genuinely funny. Subscribed.
Half an hour of video and no timestamp for the quotes. You're identified as a failure.
My biggest battery concern is what happens if the battery reaches end of life? Can it be exchanged or is it now obsolete? What is the specified lifespan? I ask knowing I am surely going to upgrade cameras in the future and this will be added to the graveyard, nevertheless, I think it’s something that should be thought of.
Thanks for the great video as usual! However I still think the Phone with good cameras (iPhone 15 pro for example) still wins. You get decent image quality i log format (cons is large file size as you said, but external storage helps). You have different focal lenghts and the still image quality is not bad. The price for the iPhone 15 pro isn’t actually that much more than pocket 3. If you have anxiety filming in public the Phone is actually better/discrete to use as everyone use the Phone these days (even in third world countries). The Phone being waterproff also reduces my anxiety. My ideal set up is actually having 2 phones, one for filming and take pictures and 2nd for all other tasks. With this setup you actually have a backup Phone in case something should happen. Having 2 phones is especially usefull when travelling!
Get rx100 m7 sony....the best small camera
filmed 4k 1.15 without a second battery
Not bad
Great video, apart from the pointless dig against women. We dudes can do better.
I would be glad to know which cage/windmuff accessories you’re running there. They look quite handy.
Man, you're too funny. lol
Why do all the Pocket fanboys act like gimbals are the most amazing thing now and any recording device that doesnt have one sucks? lol. Were you all buying and using gimbals for all your videos before the Pocket? I seriously doubt it. So does all your footage not shot with the amazing gimbal Pocket suck now?
I discuss it at length @ 6:58
@@CharlieVN Yes, but you are recommending this camera over cameras with larger sensors and much better photo/video quality...because it has a gimbal? I'll take the much larger sensor with the ability to use far better quality lenses over a fixed 20mm lens thats not very good to begin with. Glad the Pocket works for you though.
@@michaelbell75 what cameras would you recommend at ~1k price range?
@@michaelbell75 think of it this way, Sony sells the ZV1F, that is a fixed 20mm 1" sensor camera f2 lens, exactly like the pocket 3. The pocket 3 can be had for a mere $20 more, has 4K 60, has 4K 120, has 10 bit color, has much better battery life, smaller, lighter, and not to mention, it has a gimbal head. $20 difference in price for a quality second camera. For serious creators, larger cameras are a given, but you're going to tell me you don't have multiple cameras? You're going to tell me this isn't good for casual folks? Just because it's a gimbal, it doesn't have to move, it can sit on sticks just fine. Movement is a bonus as far as I'm concerned, and if you like to move all the time, you can do that as well.
@@CharlieVN Yes, good point. I guess if you are only comparing to the ZV1F the Pocket is better, but there are MUCH better second cameras out there, especially on the used market. Cameras with bigger and better sensors and ones without a fixed lens. This is purely a vlogging camera, very limited usage.
